I am rating this 5 stars because what I ended up with was awesome and I am sure if I was able to follow the recipe completely it would have been perfect. I was short on supplies so I had to cut the egg portion in half, I was short 1/3 the amount of bacon and had no celery. What I did to offset this was increased the potatoes and added a tbsp on celery seed. It turned out great even though I was short on ingredients but was a pain in the butt to make. To make your bacon crispier place them on a baking sheet in the oven.

My children are picky eaters and they loved this recipe. I added some dill weed to the recipe and used green onions like others had used. Great recipe :)

Good Base Potato Salad. Did not have much flavor with the recipe as listed. So I Added 1 C. Sour Cream, 1 C. Hellmans, Added Bunch of Green Onion Chopped, Dried Dill, Mustard and Relish to taste. I also used turkey bacon extra crispy. In place of regular bacon. With those changes the recipe is flavorful and delicious.

This was a pretty yummy salad. I think next time I'll add a little mustard to give it a little more zing. But otherwise the texture and flavors were very good!

This was just awesome. Everyone loved it. The second time I made it, we were out of bacon, so used breakfast sausages cut into 1/2" bites. Oh my goodness! What a hit!

super tasty with half sour cream half olive oil mayo instead of all mayo....THANK YOU...I normally don't like potato salad....but this is most edible...

this was my first time making this type of patato salad.. it was totally delish! i also used have mayo n half sour cream, DO NOT leave out the Bacon, it does give it the distinct flavor, i also used white onion but cut back on it.. to speed the making up I cubed the potato then boiled them while i baked the bacon in the oven on a baking sheet.. This is an amazing recipe. After reading some of the reviews that it was a little bland i was a little worried so I followed the recipe exactly except for cutting down the mayo by 1/2 cup and did use fresh bacon and not bacon bits. I feel the real bacon (a little bacon grease) is what gives this recipe the perfection it needs. Make sure you refrigerate the salad so all the ingredients can marry. I wish there was a 6+ star rating. I will definitely keep this recipe for years to come. Thank you Donna, you posted a recipe that will be passed down to my daughter in the years to come.
