Anytime we have friends over, they beg me to make this potato salad. It is great. I add a little dill for flavor.

I really enjoyed this side! Hint: For a little added flair try a teaspoon or two of apple cider vinegar. Let us know what you think.

I made this for a picnic and everyone raved over it. I did use one cup of mayonnaise and one cup of Miracle Whip because I like a little more zip. This recipe is a keeper.

This is a very delicious and very pretty potato salad. I'm vegetarian, so I skipped the bacon and the taste was still very good. Like others I used green onions because I had them on hand. However, if you want to use onion but not have the powerful taste of raw onion take over your recipe you can soak the chopped onion in cold water while the potatoes are boiling. Like others I wanted to add mustard flavor, but I added about a teaspoon of dry mustard to the recipe instead of store bought yellow mustard. I got this idea from an egg salad recipe on this site. It adds the flavor and pretty yellow hue without also adding the vinegar taste found in store bought yellow mustard. I only added a cup and a half of mayonnaise. This one is really up to personal preference. I'd say add a cup, if it is not enough, add another 1/2 cup, etc until it suits your creaminess index!

The absolutely most flavorful potato salad ever. It's like potato salad on steriods.

This was a huge hit when we last entertained! 4 people devoured the whole batch within 2 days! I diced the potatoes before boiling, used BACOS instead of bacon, used 1/2 miracle whip, 1/2 light sourcream as others said, green onions, and then I let my dog eat the egg yolks and only added diced egg whites! Hard to believe that you can have an excellent tasting, nearly cholesterol free potato salad! Hats off to an excellent recipe that is already being requested again!

This is a great recipe. I have a special family recipe potato salad that I always make but I was looking to make one with the red potatoes and I hit the jackpot with this one. I did alter a few things as many other did as well. After cubing up the potatoes I poured just a little of Newman's Organic Italian Dressing over them and let it set in while I prepared the rest of the ingredients. I also switched the onions for green onions and I added an extra stalk of celery and I halved the amount of eggs. I did one cup of mayo and 3/4 cup of sour cream. I only had real bacon bits so that's what i went with and then I finally mixed in a little garlic salt and it was perfect! My husband is going to love it. Perfect for our beach camping trip this weekend. Thanks!

Everything was perfectly balanced. I thought the onion would be a bit much, but it was perfect. This is a great "All American" potato salad.

Excellent! I've never been able to find a great potato salad recipe... until now. This is perfect! I (like others) did green onions instead of white, increased the celery a bit (love celery), and added 1/2 teaspoon dill. Yum!

This was excellent potato salad. I reduced the number of eggs and increased teh celery. Also just sprinkled bacon crumbles into the salad for just a hint of the bacon. WonderfulX!

I haven't tasted all the potato salad recipes in the world but I've had a few. This was hands down the best. I'll be hard pressed to try another. I didn't change a thing and probably won't for the next fifty times I make this.

Great as is, did use green onions and only a 1/2 lb bacon...also had to boil potatoes for a tad longer than 15 minutes. Very good

Enjoyable potato salad!!! Made it for a dinner party and it was a hit!! However, I finished it off with crumbles of bleu cheese and omitted the salt and pepper. It also makes great leftovers, and so enjoyable on the palate.
