I made this "as is" with no changes and it was great! I think the potatoes might have needed an extra minute to cook, the larger ones were a little under done. I will make this one again!

I've made this potato salad twice now to take to BBQs and both times I came home with a completely empty bowl! I didn't change a thing...but did use a Vidalia sweet onion. Other than that, I went right by the recipe. It was absolutely wonderful and I'll be making this for many more BBQs and other functions. Thank you so much!

DELICIOUS - everyone loved it. NEXT TIME, though, I will boil the potatoes for longer. They were still a little too firm after 15 minutes.

I thought it was good but not wonderful. I used half mayo/half sour cream and thought there was too much dressing for my taste. I did like the bacon and red onion. I think I'll try again with less dressing.

I made this potato salad today and it was pretty good. I do not care for the bacon flavor in the salad - however I will try just putting bacon bits on top of the salad the next time. I used red onion and put about 2 tablespoons of sweet relish in. Other than that - I would not change it.

First off, I'd like to ask why are eggs even included in this recipe? 6 eggs?? 1 lb bacon? This recipe was very plain. It tasted just like mayo & sour cream mixed together with some egg that didn't even need to be there. I suggest to cut the recipe in half. Do not use eggs. Find some kind of seasoning because just pepper & salt alone don't work (unless you use tons). I think adding in some dill would be a good choice.

I am sure glad I did not modify this. It is very tasty!!! At first look at the ingredients list left me wondering why it was getting such great reviews. The temptation to add pickles and mustard and a number of other things were hard to overcome because it looked so...bland? NOT so my fine gourmet friends. This is definetly not your grocery store potato salad. I used a light mayo and a high quality peppered bacon and yes a whole onion. Seems a bit much but use a sweet one and this will knock your dirty socks clean off the wall.

I would have given this receipe 5 stars if I hadn't altered it so much. I used only 4 eggs and 1/2 bacon. Instead of 2 cups of mayo I used 1/2 cup of mayo and 1/2 cup of sour cream. I also added a TBS of balsamic vinegar to give it more complexity. With these changes this was excellent!

I was seeking a potato salad to experiment with as I wanted to try grilled/smoked potatoes. This one was excellent! Followed exactly except I Par boiled the reds and put on kabob skewers. Grilled them on direct heat with mesquite wood chips until easily pierced with fork. Tendious but worth the lovely, smoky flavor!

The bacon adds a great twist on plain old potato salad. I also added a couple dollops of sour cream. Excellent!

This is the best potato salad recipe I've tried so far. I did add a dollop of sour cream, and I used half garlic salt and half regular salt. I haven't tried it with cheese added yet, but I think it will make this dish even better (if possible!)

We replaced half of the mayo with fat free sour cream. Also, make sure to buy all of your potatoes the same size! We took this to a potluck and received many compliments. It was delicious, and I will definitely be making this again!

I absolutly loved this recipe!!! I used a combonation of regular onions, red onions and green onions, just to give it a bit of color...I also made a vegetarian version of the dish for a few of my guests and I personally thought it tasted better without the bacon...in the end this was a great recipe and I will definitly make it again!

I made this for a picnic and everyone raved over it. I did use one cup of mayonnaise and one cup of Miracle Whip because I like a little more zip. This recipe is a keeper.
