This was delicious! I took the advice of another reviewer and used the Muir Glen Fire Roasted Tomatoes, they were perfect. My only complaint was I felt the portion size was off. I felt it served less than the number stated.

Great recipe. I used red curry paste and omitted the chili powder, just enough spice. It's a bit more soupy than I would prefer, but next time I'll just shorten the cook time on the lentils. I also added a handful of fresh cilantro, it was a perfect additional taste!

This is awesome. I had never tried to make curry before, and this turned out tasty, hearty, and filling. I used a can of Muir Glen fire roasted crushed tomatoes as suggested by a previous reviewer and red curry paste. I paired it with Indian Naan II recipe from this site. What a great meal!

I'm eating this as I type and it has a really good flavor. I've never made lentils before this so I think that next time I do I will definitely let them simmer longer. This dish wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be and I don't know if it was something that I did or not so next time I will probably add more heat to it. The flavor is still really nice, I'll make it again.

Sweet. I'll make it based on a curry recipe review with the curry left out. :-(

This is seriously tasty :) I left out the ginger and the curry powder, as I didn't have these in, but it's still very, very nice. Two batches have gone in the freezer for quick mid-week dinners, and I'll be having the rest later on with some basmati rice. Thanks.

Excellent. Very easy to make. I used a can of diced tomatoes as I had no puree, also I didn't have any curry paste- this didn't seem to make a difference. Will make many times again!

This is a keeper! I rescued this from the black hole of my recipe box today and am so glad I did. Followed recipe exact with one exception; I thought I had tomato puree, but when I saw that I didn't, I had to improvise with leftover spaghetti sauce. Didn't seem to matter as the taste is still wonderful. Nice and spicy! Watch your lentils as they do cook up very quickly. Thank you for posting this recipe!

This was delicious! This was also the first time I had ever made curry or used lentils and I am certainly going to make this again. I used a can of Italian Tomatoes instead of the fresh tomato and it was wonderful. My husband, who by the way is not too crazy over new and different food, loved it and had seconds!

It tasted like take out! Great recipe with lots of flavor! I wouldn't change a thing. (my husband recommended cutting back on the curry)

This is the best lentil curry I've found! Even my non-lentil eating husband said to make this again. Only thing I might change next time is to add less lentils. I like it a little saucier.

this is pretty good as written, but i did make some changes to up the nutrition a bit. i added a chopped red pepper, 2 cups shredded spinach, and 1 cup chopped carrot when i added the tomato. i also added a dash of cinnamon, some additional sea salt and ground pepper. i garnished with chopped almonds. lovely.

I followed the recipe but doubled the garlic as other people suggested. I also pureed the final product and served with rice and peas. Very good and flavorful. The whole family liked it and the house smelled wonderful!

A good mix of flavors, but even after I added water it came out very thick. Next time I'll use canned tomatoes with just a dash of tomato paste to keep things together. Also, I think this would be very good with a yogurt/cucumber dressing.
