ok. i cut down the salt. i think a pinch of cayenne would have worked better than the paprika. it made the dressing too pink. will keep looking

This was exactly what I was looking for! It worked great. I used this with the Avocado Ranch dip recipe and it was perfect. I used a heaping tablespoon, and didn't change anything. Thanks!

I have been looking for a ranch recipe so I could keep it on hand and it would not be full of artificial ingredients and HFCS. This fits the bill. Great taste, easy to make. I even made it a little bit more Mexican in one reconstitution with extra Paprika and Cummin. Very Yum!

Great standard dip. It is amazing to me that people don't like this recipe because of the seasoning amounts. Why would you ever follow that to begin with? Everyone has a different palate, and should always season to taste. Cooking 101 there people!!

This is good and after reading the reviews I cut the salt and pepper in half. I think the paprika gave it a little kick. I made the night before so the flavors would all gel. Pretty good.

I thought the paprika was wrong before i added it i was right, tasted very off. Salt was to much and mayo flavor was too strong. To much milk. It ended being runny. Although it wasn't to bad as a dip. Thats the only reason for 2 stars. I won't use this again. Later when i find a recipe that i used before i'll submit it, it was really good. Watch for (Ranch Dressing Mix) recipe.

I think the reason several people found this to be too salty was they used all of this mix in one dip or dressing. I have used this for a couple of years. I put together the dry mix, put it in a small container and store it in my refrigerator. When I need dip or dressing I will add a heaping table spoon of the mix to 16oz of sour cream or for the same amount of dressing. I add a good size clove of fresh garlic crushed & chopped very fine at time I make the dip or dressing. I took this to a party tonight and it was a big hit with fresh veggies. IT DOES NEED TO BE PUT TOGETHER AND LEFT IN THE REFRIGERATOR OVER NIGHT FOR FULL FLAVOR. Use fat free Sour Cream and you have a very healthy snack with veggies.

needs more flavor. thought the buttermilk would add richness but it made it too runny. maybe 1/2 a cup would be better and double the spices.

Very good. I didn't care for the red color, I would prefer the regular white ranch color. The flavor was great though. I would make it again and just leave out the paprika

Too Good! Loved it, better than store bought. I used all fresh ingredients. One might use a little more buttermilk than mayonaise for healthier dressing and if one likes the taste. Thanks a lot!

we made this dip this weekend when we realized we had nothing else. I used what i had on hand, fresh minced parsley and fresh minced green onion and i thought it was pretty good. I did think it was a bit salty so next time I'll reduce the amount of salt. I must say everyone enjoyed it and by the end of the night all the dip and veggies were history. Thanks for this recipe, it was just what I was looking for.
