I love this dressing! I think as a dip it's perfect. I've found that adding a little milk or 1/2 and 1/2 helps with the consistency for pouring over salads.

YUM. I'll eat my veggies now!! I hate store bought ranch that maintains the shape of the dish it's sitting in, and doesn't dilute with water added to it--freaks me out a bit. This stuff---excellent!

While this is an okay dressing, the dill is very overpowering! It's not the true ranch taste I was hoping to find.

This dressing is fabulous! I make with buttermilk as I like my dressing a little thinner. I make big batches of it and keep it in a large mason jar in fridge. It doesn't stay around long at our house.

This is excellent, but the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I feel like it's more of a dip -- and is in fact delicious with raw veggies. While it is good on a salad, I think it would be even better with a bit of tang in it, like lemon juice maybe, or some buttermilk.

This is blander than regular Ranch dressing, and too thick. I added 1/4 cup milk, 1 t worcestershire sauce, seasoned rice vinegar to taste (about 2 Tbl) and some extra chives, garlic powder and salt.

Dressing had an overly mayonaise taste and was so thick you had to use a spoon. I added some vinegar for flavor. The dip made from the recipe was the consistency of dressing- liquidy. The buttermilk gave the dip a horrible taste. We added sugar, more seasonings but nothing helped.

Very good recipe. I like to make it a couple days ahead and the flavors are so much better then bottled.

I thought the flavor was right on. However, for a dressing, I found it rather on the thick side. Next time I would add a little buttermilk to make it thinner. Overall, great flavor! Thanks.

This is delicious. I prefer to decrease the amount of dill weed or the dill is overpowering for my taste. I love fresh salad dressing, and since ranch is one of our favorites, this is great for us.

Oh man!! This dressing is awesome! I like to add a little buttermilk to thin it out (its rather thick). I have passed this recipe on to my grandmother and my aunts after having some at my house. I used to buy the hv mix with all the junk in it... not anymore!!! I also like to make the recipe without the cream and mayo and use it on chicken and burgers. Very good!!!
