Great pizza crust! I needed to come up with a quick-fix dinner option last night. My bf was craving burgers and I was craving pizza. It was too chilly to grill, so we compromised and created a cheeseburger pizza using this recipe for the crust (viola!). I will NEVER buy a store-bought crust again (Boboli doesn't even have one up on this!!!)! I wanted to use my pizza stone, but couldn't find my pizza peel, so I just used my Faberware pizza sheet instead (but I did place it on top of my heated baking stone...). I lightly greased my pan with Pam and then dusted it with a bit of cornmeal. The dough was VERY sticky, but easy to shape with floured hands. Next time, I'll add some spices (i.e. oregano, basil, garlic powder, etc.) as others did - I just didn't think those spices would go well with cheeseburger pizza (but I did combine a little veg oil/garlic powder and brushed it on the crust)! This crust is good as is... no need for spices unless you like them (IMHO). Oh, and you've got to like thick and puffy crusts (similar to Chef Boyardee crust). This will become my "staple" crust recipe. Thanks for sharing :)

Very good and fast recipe. It's perfect for a quick crust. I added herbs to the flour prior to combining with yeast.

GREAT SUCCESS!! I didn't have the bread flour it called for, but it turns out the same when you use all purpose flour and a tablespoon of wheat gluten. It had great texture and was most certainly effortless!! KUDOS!

Who knew pizza crust could be so easy? I didn't have bread flour so I used all-purpose and it came out very light and delicious. I made my pizza a sicilian style and topped it with ground sausage, mushrooms and green peppers. I also used a thick home-made sauce. 2 cups of shredded cheese were enough and 20 mins later.. yummy home-made pizza! Will definitely make this one again. Very easy!

This was great! I tripled the recipe and filled the table with toppings and gave all the kids thier own dough and they came up with all kinds of creations while I baked them for them! Every one of them loved it!!!

This crust was passable, but too hard and chewy. I think in order to get a genuinely good crust you need to let it rise.

This has changed our pizza eating forever! I have never been so impressed with a recipe as I am with this one. It not only makes great pizza crust (I like to add spices as other viewers suggested) but it also is versatile, making great breadsticks as well! Love, love, love it!

My real rating for this recipe would be 4 3/4 stars, if I could do such a thing. I followed the original directions (no extra resting time or herbs; the only difference was that I used Kosher salt, because I always do) and got a 12 inch crust that was a nice thickness, crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. The texture of this crust is FANTASTIC. The single slight problem I had with this dough is that my batch had a VERY yeasty flavor. I like the flavor of yeast bread a lot, but the yeast was slightly overpowering, possibly because I did just some veggie and olive oil toppings without sauce or cheese. Overall, especially for the speed and ease with which this can be made, this recipe is really great.

Best quick pizza dough recipe I have come across! I usually make whole wheat pizza dough, but didn't have the 2 hours required to make it - found this recipe and it's definitely a keeper to use when crunched for time! Cooked this for 10 minutes on a pizza pan, and 8 minutes on my stone - came out perfect with a crunchy crust my family loves! Thanks for posting this recipe!!

great crust recipe. I tried it first as directed (but let it sit for 30 minutes) and it came out alright. Next time around I used INSTANT YEAST and mixed the yeast with all the dry ingredients together, then mixed in the wet ingredients together and added it to the dry. mixed and kneaded it together. then let it sit for 30 minutes before rolling it out for baking. --> It came out great!! Light and fluffy just the way that I like it! Great recipe!

I think this might work better to cook the crust for a bit before adding toppings. I will keep working with this recipe. I liked how quick it was for Friday night pizza. I will also try to add garlic to the curst next time too.

I had been using the traditional boxes of pizza crust mix until I found this recipe. My family loves this crust. We love pizza and I could never get the crust exactly the way that I wanted it until now. I use this at least once a week now. My husband asks me all the time, "When are we having pizza again". Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Very easy and great results. We will use this often! Edit: Made this again this week, having my parents over for dinner and they raved that it was the best pizza crust they'd ever had! I'm on my way to email the recipe to my mom now. Thanks again for a great recipe!
