This is was so great! It was easy and delicious. I also took the advice of some of the previous reviewers and doubled the amount of sauce. It really was so easy because you literally just put it in the skillet and you can finish fixing all the rest of the meal. So GOOD!

This really is quick and easy and very tasty. I made one minor change. I added a couple shakes of worchestershire sauce. I will make this over and over again.

Maybe I did something wrong because everyone else seems to love this recipe but I didn't like it at all. I ate it for dinner but am throwing away the left overs. It was like taking a lovely chicken, olive oil, and onion stirfry and ruining it by pouring ketchup all over it. It was too sweet, too salty and too ketchup-y.

Yes this was pretty good. I doubled the liquid as others suggested and added some chopped garlic and a few red pepper flakes. This method of cooking chicken is probably the best never really letting it boil-just simmer...it stays really tender.

EXCELLENT!!! I didn't change a thing. I placed the chicken on top of some leftover rice and poured the sauce on. We will definitely make this again. Thanks!

Flavorful and tender, this dish is so yummy and delicious! Since I was cooking for just my husband and I, I did double the sauce. I also seasoned the chicken with sea salt, pepper, and garlic powder prior to cooking. The chicken was so most that you didn't even need to use a knife to cut and the sauce carmalized so nicely. This is definitely a recipe I will be adding to the rotation. Oh, and we served it with corn on the cob and a baked potato. A great dinner tonight! Thank you :)

I didn't use all the sugar it called for and it was still pretty sweet - at first I was worried it was too sweet but it actually turned out quite good! My husband was a fan. I doubled the sauce (more than enough) and it was pretty watery - so I added some corn starch which thickened it nicely.

This is a great weekday recipe!! I followed other reviews suggestions regard the fine pepper, and I only used 1/2 of a vadalia onion. a whole onion was too much for our tastes. We really liked it, will definately make this again and again!! Thanks for the recipe.

Well we liked that one! I didn't put the sugar in at all because we don't like sauces to be too sweet. Only wish there was more sauce...it all seems to reduce too much so next time I will make more sauce for it. Thumbs up!

this is good. I will probably make this again. I always precook chicken, cut into chunks and then freeze it. To make this recipe, I just throw about a pound or 2 of frozen chicken in the pan and make the recipe as written.

This was so simple to make! The Hubby thought it tasted like orange chicken, I just liked the sweet taste. We served over white rice. Will make again!

Perfect recipe for sweet and sour style chicken! I usually make this with some definite differences, but this recipe is pretty close! In my version, I dont include the onions. I first brown chicken breasts cut into cubed pieces, and then add 2 tbs olive oil to further crisp it. I mix 4 tbs each of the soy sauce, ketchup, and lemon juice and 8 tbs of sugar. I add 1/2 of this mixture to the chicken and oil and let it simmer until the sauce is nearly gone. It turns the chicken a nice carmel/brown color and almost crystalizes it so that it is sweet and crunchy. Finally, I add the remaining sauce and simmer just enough to heat through. This gives it enough sauce to be served over rice or noodles and tastes wonderful! Its great if you like chinese food!
