This was very good. zucchini to it since I had just picked it from the garden. I followed the advice of others and doubled the sauce, but I only added more soy sauce and lemon juice, I kept the pepper, ketchup and sugar the same. I also added a dash of rice wine vinegar. I simmered for 35 minutes and then added a slurry of cornstarch and cold water to thicken the sauce.

I really enjoyed this recipe. It was so quick and easy (would have been even quicker but I had frozen chicken). I went with everyone else and cut the pepper in half and doubled the sauce. I added just a little fresh garlic when I was sauteing chicken and onions then added some steamed broccoli at the very end. Thanks it was great!

This was a great recipe. It didn't take very long either. My boyfriend really liked it! I served as recipe is except I cut out the onions and added toasted sesame seeds on top right before serving and served it with white rice. I also doubled the sauce just make sure I had enough to cover it. Very tasty dish! Will make again!

This is quick and easy....and good! At first I couldn't figure out what type of cuisine it's supposed to be - American, Chinese, BBQ? I decided to take a Chinese spin on it. I cut the chicken in bite-sized pieces, doubled the sauce, added some green onions for color and served over rice. We gobbled it up! By cutting the chicken up, it made it even quicker - it only had to cook for about 10 minutes. It reminds of the Szechwan Shrimp recipe on this site. Next time I might ease up on the ketchup and add garlic and ginger root.

Yumm! I just got done making this and it's really yummy! My mom said it tastes like sweet and sour chicken from the chinese restaurant we go to sometimes. I didn't have any chicken breast so I just cut off the meat from 4 big chicken drumsticks. It's sweet and tangy at the same time. I'll definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing!

This is a very quick and tasty dish! My husband and I both really enjoyed it! I put it together with a couple of Chinese dumplings and frozen sweet potato fries. This will be a great staple in our house. If I can figure out how to get the sauce to thicken after cooking and use it as a dipping sauce or glaze afterwords that would be even better!

This was absolutely wonderful...I enjoy cooking however as person who has a strict diet when competing I have to make my food healthy. I used low sodium soy sauce, substitued the ketchup for no salt added tomato sauce, and instead of sugar I used Stevia as my sweetner. These minor substitutions cuts the sodium, sugar, and carbs...still tasty!

I loved this recipe! It was very flavorful and the chicken was cooked to perfection, very moist. I didn't have soy sauce, so I used General Tso's sauce and I doubled all of the sauce ingredients, as recommended by others. This one is definitely a keeper!

I added some honey and 1/2 can of crushed pineapple. Hubby liked the sauce but I think it's too strong. Will keep looking.

Very good. Use large or medium yellow onion. Definitely double the sauce. Sauce thins out so a thickener might help. Sauce has good flavor. Not too over bearing. Quite tame. Starts out strong then mellows as cooked. Good as is. Bar-B-Que like flavor.
