I was not in love with this recipe, and my husband didn't take the leftovers for lunch, which is a HUGE thumbs down. I doubled the sauce and, at the end, added straw mushrooms, green beans, and water chestnuts for texture. It was ok, but certainly no better than popping open a bottle of teriaki glaze, which would have been quicker. There was something kind of weird about the ketchup/lemon combo. I will be sticking with the bottle of glaze in the future.

This was wonderful and easy! I made the sauce for 4 servings but only used 2 chicken breasts. It was the perfect amount!

Loved it! I cut the chicken up to bite size and added about 1 tbsp of cornstarch to thicken the sauce. Serve with a side of veggies - so good!

Yummy! I doubled all ingredients except for the sugar and I didn't add black pepper. Rather, I let people add red pepper flakes as they liked. Very quick, very easy, very good! I used almost a pound of chicken tenders and did add 1 can mushrooms, drained. This sauce would go well as a sweet and sour sauce.

I made this dinner last night after not having a clue what we'd have for dinner. I had all of the ingredients on hand and gave it a shot. It was so delicious and amazinging easy. My hubby loved it and asked that I keep this recipe to make again.

This was very good and easy. While I sauteed the onions I cut up the chicken in bite-sized pieces and let it marinate in the sauce mixture. I also doubled the sauce, but not the sugar and it turned out wonderful! Next time I will add some sesame seeds to this and put it over white rice. Definitely making again!!!!

I was not expecting this chicken to be as flavorful as it was! I chose this recipe because I had all the ingredients, and it would be ready in about 30 mins. I doubled the sauce like other reviewers suggested, and it turned out just fine. This is definitely a quick, easy recipe.

Good, definitely quick & easy. I love that it uses ingredients I always have on hand. I added celery as recommended, doubled the sauce, and used only 1 Tbsp sugar, and added cornstarch at the end to thicken, and just a sprinkle of pepper. For a little spice, some crushed red pepper would go nicely, but for dinner with the kids this was great and my 11 month old who spits out anything with meat, despite all my efforts, actually gobbled this up!

Excellent flavors. Sauce was too sweet - I would cut sugar in half, and reassess. I also added dry roasted peanuts and green beans. Excellent. Celery would be good, too.

Very good, beware if you don't like spicy i would suggest to cut the pepper in half or just leave it out. I loved it as is. I cubed two chickens breast and let it simmer about 20-25 minutes. Will try with dark meat soon, Thanks i love it!

The amount of pepper, for me, was WAY too much. I ended up scraping the sauce and vegetables to the side because I couldn't eat them. I will say, though, this came together very quickly as a last minute meal - and I'd use it again as a starting point for flavors, but leave out the pepper.

Overall pretty good. It's very similar to the "Caramelized Baked Chicken" recipe. It's quick, easy, and tons of flavor.

This sauce is amazing! It would be great with turkey and pork, as well. It was a tad salty for my taste, so I'll probably use low-sodium soy sauce from now on. My picky toddler asked for unheard-of THIRDS! Definitely a keeper!

This was very good. zucchini to it since I had just picked it from the garden. I followed the advice of others and doubled the sauce, but I only added more soy sauce and lemon juice, I kept the pepper, ketchup and sugar the same. I also added a dash of rice wine vinegar. I simmered for 35 minutes and then added a slurry of cornstarch and cold water to thicken the sauce.
