This was a good start, but needs more flavor. I added additional carrots & celery, and used all chicken broth. My dad makes a homemade chicken noodle soup which I prefer to this one, but this is a good base to start with and play around with. I made with kluski noodles which are my favorite in soup!

This was fantastic! I made a few changes based on what I had on hand plus I needed it to be gluten free. For the chicken I cooked chicken breasts in a crock pot with salt/fresh cracked pepper/poultry seasoning/couple whole cloves and a couple bay leaves. I left it to cool over night in the fridge in the pot which makes the breast really tender. (I did up a large pot full for a number of meals) I used Earth Balance margarine since we can't do dairy. I didn't have chicken or veggie broth so I used the broth from the crock pot after it had separated. I added 2-3 times the basil and oregano called for and for the noodles I used Trader Joes Rice Sticks traditional Thai style pasta broken into pieces about 1 inch each. It came out perfect and even my super picky child liked it.

I really enjoyed this soup. It really is quick and easy but that does not mean it lacks flavor or quality. I don't use celery and only use carrots for flavor and then remove them just because our house is picky but still, this soup is fantastic!

This soup is sooo good! My husband had the flu for 9 days and this is the only thing made him feel better. It will be a weekly recipe for me from now on. It is so wonderful that I am going to try it with leftover turkey after the holidays. Highly recommend for everyone!

Fantastic! I added a little more garlic and it was delicious! My family loved it. I cooked a whole chicken in the crock pot and used that chicken for the soup. It was nice and tender. I WILL be making this again!

I had to give this soup 5 stars, it didn't start that way, but completely my fault. I need to learn to make better chicken stock! Once the stock started tasting better this soup was great. So easy. I did take direction from others when they said to make the noodles seperate. I did add corn starch in the end to make it a little thicker. Everyone went for seconds. Thanks for such an easy & great recipe.

Great recipe. I made this the other week and it was gone in one meal. My sister said it was better than progresso (which up until now was her fav). I did add more chicken and egg noodles.

Really good. I followed reviewers advice and sauteed the onion, garlic, celery and carrots in a little butter. I only needed 4 cups of salt reduced chicken stock, but then again, I didn't add pasta. I've been feeling like I'm coming down with the flu and every single person in my family loved this even though I made it to get some vitamins. My soup hater finished hers first and declared it delicious. If you need a good chicken soup to fix your cold, try this.

Awesome recipe and very easy. I followed the reviews of others and sauteed minced garlic with the onion and celery and I also added a half can of cream of chicken soup at the end. Yummy - will use again and again.

My family loved this. Picky toddlers and hubby cleaned their bowls! I would keep up with the suggestion that you boil the noodles seperately from the soup until a few minutes to being done. I did it this suggested way and it was not starchy at all.
