I found this to be almost a perfect match to my dad's brownies. I cut back on the butter to 3/4c for cake brownies but left it for the fudge type. Awesome!

These were very sweet, and I love sweets. But too sweet for even me. The kids enjoyed them, though, so I would make them again. I did cut the flour to 1 cup as some reviewers suggested, which gave them a great brownie consistancy. Maybe next time I'll use a little less sugar.

very good! i took what everybody else said and only did 1 cup of flour. they were awesome! they took a little bit longer to cook but when they finally came out the best brownies in the world!!!

Good brownies, just a few changes. Since I didn't want to make a full batch, I reduced all ingredients by half and added 2 Tbsps of creamy peanut butter and baked for about 35 minutes in an 8x8 pan. Next time, I might use 1/2 cup of cocoa, as required in the original recipe since I added the peanut butter, which does distract from the chocolate flavor (as mentioned in a previous comment). Or, I could just use 1 Tbsp of peanut butter....It's still a very good recipe and there is no need to buy brownie mix anymore since I already have the ingredients in my pantry.

i have a couple things to say first username: Stevie lee that cocoa powder that you mentioned usually drys my baking stuff out so i would be careful on how much you use and what you use it in. also these brownies are amazing! and easy to make very fast.

Success can be measured when I offer my husband one and he asks for a second. He asks for a third and later I caught him stealing two more! I recalculated it for 30 servings, used unbleached wheat flour; adding 1/4 cup less of what the recipe asked for and the eggs were from cage free hens. Yummy!
