These were good. I did the 1 cup flour everyone keeps talking about. I am still trying to find the PERFECT brownie.

My husband said these were the best brownies he's ever had. I made a few alterations: only 1 cup of flour, 1 stick of butter and 1 apple sauce cup, 3 eggs (1 large and 2 extra large). I also melted peanut butter and a little butter together, added a splash of vanilla and a little powdered sugar and swirled the PB mixture on top. YUMMMMY!

I only used a cup of sugar as that was all I had on used just over a cup of flour and ended up cooking it for about 45 minutes in and 8 x 8 square pan. It turned out super chocolatey, but still a little cakey, I just wish I had icing sugar to make icing because a fudgy icing would be tastey on this.

Absolutely the best! Family and friends love it. The only thing I do that has been suggested is to cut back on the flour by 1/2 cup. I will never buy box brownies again.

Very easy. I made this with Splenda, and used half butter/half oil. Was a little cakey, that could have been from the Splenda.. Will try again with less flour. It was very good for a cake but didn't turn out gooey and moist like a brownie (again... probably due to the fake sugar!) Thanks for the post.

I made 2 batches of this recipe...the first I made with only 1 cup of flour as per suggestions from others and the second I made following the original recipe. I liked both but prefer the more "fudgy" recipe using less flour. The original recipe is great but tastes like a chocolate cake...which I will start using as my new chocolate cake recipe!

"Quick and Easy" is an accurate name, and the brownies were pretty darned good. Not "to die for" or spectacular, but they were good, tasty, fast, and satisfied my chocolate craving. I, too, reduced the flour down to 1 cup. I used 1 cup sugar and 1 cup Splenda, only because we were really low on sugar and not going shopping for a few days.

These are amazing! My husband is an avowed brownie hater, but when I made these he decided to try them and he loved them! The first batch I made was gone in less than a day. I used 1 cup of flour as suggested by other reviewers and cooked them in a 9x9 pan because I like my brownies thick. It took 50 minutes to cook them.

I don't know what happened, followed the recipe to a "T" and what came out was just not what I think a brownie should be. Very cakey, not enough chocolate...I will continue my search for the perfect brownie :(

I tried this recipe for the first time and although they were easy to make, they were very very cakelike and, not nearly enough chocolate flavor. I will try to make this again but, will increase the amount of chocolate and probably lessen the number of eggs.

I used this brownie recipe to make a 'crust' for Brownie Caramel Cheesecake, rather than a box mix. I scaled it back to 15 servings so I didn't have too much batter for my 10 inch springform pan. If I'm just eating a plain brownie I prefer a fudgier one, but the taste was not to rich for what I was using it for and the texture was just right to hold up as a crust without being too chewy. I would use this recipe again for this purpose, but stick to the One Bowl Brownies for just eating plain.

Quick and Easy? YES! Moist and sweet and absolutely perfect? YES! I love brownies. On any given day, I would rather buy a box of mix than cook them from scratch. But this was completely worth the little bit of time and clean up. I will keep making this recipe. Totally worth it! You should make them...

This recipe was great and my guests all raved at the results. Served w/vanilla ice cream, this recipe will be a repeat! I made mine with 1 cup of flour and added in 1 cup of shredded coconut and 1/2 cup of chopped pecans, as suggested by another member. Delicious!

I made mine with 3 eggs and 1 cup of flour. I also added chocolate chips in the middle and on top. They had a delicious gooey, fudgy texture. I brought them to the cottage and they were gobbled up for breakfast! Yum.
