My family loved this recipe...it was very creamy and easy to make. I took the time to whisk the milk into the cream cheese and butter in small increments .......take your time and this recipe is a keeper for sure.

This is delicious and easy to make. I had everything on hand too. I made this to go over some leftover pasta and grilled veggies. It was nice and smooth and had a nice rich flavor. I did not think the cream cheese was overwhelming. My family didn't actually know there was cream cheese in it until I told them. I will use this recipe again.

This was pretty good, but definitely not the real thing. You can taste the difference between this one and the authentic Alfredo sauce and I prefer the latter by far. This would make a great white sauce for pizza though, but I wouldn't call it Alfredo sauce.

I did add a teaspoon of nutmeg and used fresh garlic. I served it over tortellini, fresh broccoli and shrimp and everyone in my house liked it.

We made this for dinner last night. It was awesome! My daughter likes it better than my old recipe. Her boyfriend said it tastes like Olive garden. I served it with noodles and topped with grilled chicken. The recipe is easy to make. The key trcik here is to make the sauce on low heat and add the cheese a little at a time. Do not let it start to boil as the butter will seperate. We will definitely be using this recipe again. We made no substitutions but made the recipe exactly as written. Please help me encourage other Allrecipe reviewers to not rate any recipe lower than 5 stars if they do not follow the recipe exactly. Why do people make changes to recipes and then rate them 3 stars? Makes no sense to me.

An excellent, quick alfredo sauce. Adjust the amount of cream cheese to your personal tastes, and the result will be a perfect alfredo sauce! I use about 4 oz. cream cheese with 6 oz. parmesan. Also, I mellow out the flavor with a small handful of shredded mozzarella. Don't add too much or your sauce WILL turn rubbery. Very, very tasty!!

This was extremely disappointing! I followed the recipe exactly except used fresh garlic instead of powder. After tasting the finished product, I found it too bland so I followed other reviewer suggestions and added nutmeg and oregano, two things I've used in other alfredo recipes and enjoyed. The sauce was too heavy (yes, I know alfredo is a heavy sauce to begin with) and lacked the strong flavor of a traditional alfredo sauce. I think maybe the cream cheese dilutes the parmesan taste. My family could barely finish it (a rare occurrence). The time saved just wasn't worth it. I'll stick to garlic, butter, cream, and parm.

Easy Peasy...Thats what I'm talking about. Being a working parent of an active family could not have an easier supper meal. The whole family loved it. It has an incredible flavor. I did sub. the garlic powder and chopped up 2 small garlic cloves and sauted with the butter. Also, putting in sea salt and a good heaping of oregano, 1 can drained mushroom and whatever forzen vegys you have in the freezer if you like. I had broccoli, carrots, califlower mix makes this dish irresitable. Grilled chicken gives it that extra flavor for the best alfredo sauce ever.....

LOVE IT! This is something I make weekly at our house, it is in our top 5 favorites for sure! We have tried lots of variations depending on what we have on hand. It's really yummy to use fresh garlic and saute it in a little butter before adding everything else, mmmm. We use skim milk and lower fat cream cheese. We've tried margarine...yuck. Fresh parmesian is better than not, but it doesn't make a HUGE difference, there is a difference though. We love adding chicken and broccoli and serving over noodles. The broccoli soaks up the sauce like a sponge, it is mouth watering. Definitely a favorite at our house! PS: Keep the heat down on the cream cheese and butter until it gets nice and "whippy." Sometimes I get in a hurry and turn up the heat to high and it gets a little wild.

This is one of those recipes that I had my doubts about, but, with the ingredents in my frig, and nothing else for dinner, away I went into the kitchen. My family loves it! I make it often now, much easier than the real thing. We call it "Not Alfredo" and it is one of my favorites. Thank you.

This was really great and easy, I will never buy it ready made from the supermarket again. I do miss some spiciness though as I am a spicy girl, will possibly try adding some chilli next time. Even my son who claims he hates pasta loves this recipe!
