Excellent! Used fresh chopped garlic and the kids raved about it!! Only problem is that now they won't put up with me buying the bottled sauce anymore...

This is great! I tossed with some gnocchi for my fiance's birthday dinner along with veal parmigiana. The only complaint, it makes a LOT! Next time I'd cut back to half or even a quarter of the written recipe. It seriously makes like 5 cups!!

This was AWESOME! I used 1/2 evaporated milk and 1/2 water for the liquid instead of just milk.

Wonderful, easy, and quick! Just make sure you're there to keep stirring it so it doesn't burn. Goes terrific with pasta+chicken!

I was really excited about making this, but it did not end up as I hoped. I followed the recipe and took other people's suggestions on how to make it better, but it was still not what I wanted. Maybe it was the cheese I used.....

This was so easy to make. Delicious! It is now my favorite alfredo sauce recipe. It says 4 servings, but it's more like 8. I doubled it for our large family and still had leftovers for several more servings.

First let me say that with a simple recpie like this out on the web, it's a surprise that most restaurants I get alfredo pasta from are unable to really deliver on the flavor. This recipe does just that! It was full of flavor and was so simple to make. A couple of things I will do differently the next time I make it though: 1) I will probably make it thinner while on the stove (by using more milk for desired consitency). What I didn't think about was the fact that after I poured it over the pasta and chicken it would continue to thicken quite a bit. By the end of the dish it was a little thick and dry but the flavor was still there. #2) I will probably start this fairly later than the pasta and chicken. This recipe was so easy that it barely took me 10 minutes. Leave this piece for last when making pasta and/or chicken. Other than that, it was delicious. I am happy to say I can make my own homemade alfredo sauce now. I probably will not order alfredo when I go out to eat anymore because it is rarely ever this delicious. Another good find on Allrecipes. Thanks Dawn.

This recipe was not only easy, but super delicious! I did add fresh garlic instead of the powder and I sauteed pancetta and mushrooms then added them to the alfredo. It made it even better!!!

Words cannot express how much I love this recipe. I usually use low or no fat milk and cream cheese and it's still awesome (if a little thin). I always throw in a few crushed garlic cloves in addition to the garlic powder to more closely mimic the sauce at my favorite italian restaurant.

Loved this recipe. I added onion and garlic. I substituted part of the milk with half and half (and didn't use 2 full cups of liquid)and added less cream cheese, and maybe a dash more Parmesan. The asiago addition is a great idea and I may try that next time. I also served (pasta, of course and)chicken breasts, which I first browned in EVOO, then added onion, garlic, salt, pepper and fresh basil leaves on a low simmer. My 13-year-old son was crazy over this recipe and he's a picky eater.

We Just finished up eating this for dinner. I used Ziti and threw in some chicken. I am overdue for grocery shopping and was looking for something quick and easy with what we had! Only had 4 ounces of Parmesian cheese, and no garlic powder and it still came out amazing! Everyone loved it, and even my sisters friends (all teens!!) enjoyed it!

I am so glad I found this recipe! I read a few reviews and here's what I came up with: I used low-fat butter and cream cheese, added 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 tsp oregano. Tip: let the cream cheese sit out awhile so it will melt easier in pan. I served it with pasta twists and cooked chicken and it was absolutely delicious! I will be making it again and will add broccoli florets next time. I'm already looking forward to it.

I thought this recipe was okay, but lacked flavor. I added 1 crushed garlic and minced basil. My hubby didnt care too much for this recipe either. It tasted too much like cream cheese, than an alfredo sauce. But dont get me wrong, it did taste pretty good, just lacked in the flavor department.

I made this recipe last nite for dinner with cut up chicken and fettuccini noodles. It was AWESOME!!!! My husband, who did not like the last time I tried to make my own saice, loved this one. Cream cheese really is what gives it the perfect consistency. This is a total keeper!!!!

This is a fantastic and quick recipe. My family really likes it! I saute 12oz fresh spinach in olive oil and a 1 clove minced fresh garlic and then add to the finished sauce. Serve with grilled chicken and pasta. YUM!

Fast recipe for ingredients I always have on hand and with a family on the run some times that what I need. I served this over left over spaghetti with cut up chicken breast from the crock pot, a side of frozen broccoli steamed in the microwave = a fast meal. Now that I know the family liked this recipe I will try to trim down the fat content as some others have done. Thanks for sharing :)
