Absolutely the best rolls I ever ate. I let the yeast bubble a bit in the water before I added the flour. This gave it a nice airy quality. I know this recipe by heart now.

These are very dense but good; add a little sugar or honey to get a steakhouse sweet yeast bread taste.

I will give this recipe props for being quick. My rolls turned out too salty and a little dense, but I think the density was because I was pressed for time and didn't give them a proper second rise. Still, WAY too salty.

I loved this recipe. Still, I made a few adjustments. Along with the 2 T. of shortening I added 2 T. butter. I also increased the sugar to 1/2 c. and the flour to 2 1/2 c. Absolutely wonderful! I ate three as soon as they came out.

I loved this recipe! I usually make bread every thanksgiving and this year I may have found the best recipe yet. I did have one batch that did not rise very well but it still turned out pretty good.

Very easy and delicious rolls to make! I used butter instead of shortening and loved how light and fluffy they turned out!

This recipe couldn't be easier. Hardly any mixing and no kneading. They turned out yummy. I would have liked a bit sweeter, but a little honey on the top does the trick. This recipe makes 8 HUGE rolls. Next time I'll make the whole dozen in the muffin tins for smaller rolls.

Excellent recipe! These are super easy so anyone can make them. Other reviews state disappointment, but these are exactly what they say.....QUICK! They do not taste like rolls that have taken all day to make, but are still wonderful, light, fluffy and a great addition to any meal. I will definetly use this recipe again.

Really liked these, and very easy to make. This was my first time making yeast rolls by myself, and absolutely no problems, followed the recipe exactly. However, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because my hubby and I both thought it tasted a little too sweet. Next time I might add a little melted butter, and less sugar to get closer to the flavor we were looking for.

Excellent rolls. Very easy to make, they rose quickly and were ready in about 2 hours. My husband loved the slightly sweet taste. I will definately make these again.

Have used a lot of recipes on this site but this is my first review, the rolls turned out like the pix, sticky like it says but worth the try I used a muffin pan and the pie plate as one of you did just to see. Muffins better. I really love this site, thanks to all for your recipes.

YUM! These were easy to make. I did worry a little about how the dough was so sticky, but I went ahead with the recipe as-is. They turned out great. It was a little hard getting the dough in the muffin cups, but that was the only problem. Don't let them rise TOO much in the muffin cups as they will rise a good bit in the oven while baking.

These rolls were pretty good, but not what I was looking for. They cooked up relatively quickly, but like it says, you still have to let them rise. They were a little too cake-like for my preference, but had good flavor
