I do not understand why people have given this recipe any less than 5 stars! I followed the recipe exactly, and it turned out wonderful! The dough is sticky, but once it is baked the rolls turn out to be the most soft and delicious that I have ever found! TIP: Follow the recipe exactly and they'll turn out great!

Made these for dinner last night. The texture was light and fluffy, just how you would want a dinner roll to turn out. I will practice this recipe a bit more, since I am not that good with breads. I found this dough SUPER sticky, added much more flour than the recipe required... that is the cooks fault though :) All of my dinner guests said the flavor was great. Next time will add more sugar because I like my dinner rolls a bite sweeter.

These were really good and easy. Make the recipe as written--this is a batter roll and as such the dough is very soft. You get a completely different product by adding more flour.

These rolls are so easy to make and my family loves them! I add only a wee bit of extra sugar since we like them a bit sweeter. I have made them 5 or 6 times and this recipe works every time!

i made this recipe exactly as it was written, ingredients wise. they were DELICIOUS! LIGHT, FLUFFY AND SWEET. the only difference is that i divided them(with two floured spoons, because the dough is impossible to handle otherwise) and put eight rolls into a pie dish and cooked for about five minutes longer. they turned out like the pull-apart rolls. i cannot rave enough about these! they were not as much work as other reviewers have insisted they are. you just have to decide you are making them a good hour before dinner. that is all.

Thank you! Followed recipe exactly, and it's so good, so easy! Perfect for one person who can't do kneading anymore due to arthritis. If family is coming, I will certainly double recipe and impress them!! Thanks again!

I followed this recipe exactly. The rolls were ok but didn't have much flavor. Next time, I'll try a different recipe.

These were fine, but not the type of recipe I'd give to friends if they wanted a good roll recipe. They were bland. They also weren't particularly quick, but they were very easy -- maybe a good recipe to start out with if you haven't done much bread making. As far as the quickness is concerned, kneading doesn't add that much time and these do still have to rise twice. They take about 35 min of rising time with fast-rise yeast. I would prefer to take an extra 5 to 10 minutes and have superior flavor.

Personally, I don't understand why anyone wouldn't like these rolls. They are delicious. They have a great yeast flavor and are very simple to make. You don't have to knead them and that takes out all of the work that goes into making rolls. The batter is gooey and that's how it's supposed to be. Try them as according to the recipe before you try to modify them! I'll never modify them. Oh, another thing. Now the recipe did say that this makes 8 rolls. We made 9 and they were pretty tall. I think we could even go with the whole 12 in the muffin tin next time and still have a big enough roll.

These are fantastic, I make them in the kitchenaid and let them rise in the bowl as another revewier suggested. I use a cookie scooper to transfer the batter into the muffin tin. Do not alter this recipe and you will be happy with the results.

This was my first attempt at any sort of dough that required yeast. I think they turned out wonderfull. I didnt feel that I needed that much extra flour, unless you count the flour that was needed to coat my hands and my prep surface while I was kneading the dough. Thanks for the recipe.

i made these and followed the recipe exactly. they were good but i felt it needed more salt and maybe more sugar. were a tad bland but that may be more of a personal thing. i have used a recipe somewhat like this before but you just stored the batter in the refrigerator in a bowl and could use it over a period of 5-7 days. it produced a more dense roll probably due to the lack of double rising. this recipe is good and thanks for a quickie bread for supper.

Word to the novice...yes-the dough is extremely sticky, but it is supposed to be. The stickier the dough the lighter the roll- do not add more flour it makes them too heavy. If you follow the directions then this recipe makes perfect airy light yeast rolls. Thank you so much for sharing this one!!!
