Miso paste can be hard to find, but I buy dry Miso Soup (Wal-Mart or most grocery stores), remove the dried tofu cubes, and combine the remaining spices with the soy sauce...works well. Everyone loves these beans!

family said they were great i found the red pepper to hot for my taste. i also did not use the miso as i dont care for it. the fresh ginger really set it off with great flavor and i will make this again with out the pepper

okay. tasted just like regular old green beans. i omitted the miso paste. i forgot the sesame seeds until it was done, so i just sprinkled on at the end. also, i cooked it in sesame oil. probably will not make again

These were ok, a little spicy for me with the red pepper flakes. I used frozen green beans, so maybe that is why I didn't find them super stellar...

I blanched over very high heat them added some water put the lid on to steam. Once almost done- added the ingredients to beans and heat just until the garlic fragrant.

Great flavor. However next time I wont add the entire amount of red pepper flakes. The beans turned out way too hot for my family.
