Maple Butter Frosting

Maple flavored frosting that tastes great on the Maple Nut Cake or try it on a plain yellow or chocolate cake, yummy! Increase the amount of maple extract (gradually!) to suit your taste.

The secret of this light frosting is to mix it with a mixer for the recommended time at high speed. This incorporates air to make it light. 1-1/2 cups frosting is enough to frost the top of one 9 inch cake.

Delicious coffee flavored chocolate frosting. Cream may be substituted for the milk for added richness.

Burnt Butter Frosting

This unusual frosting recipe is made with burnt butter! It is excellent on yellow cakes, and I always get rave reviews. Do not substitute margarine for butter in this recipe!

This is a frosting I normally put on birthday cakes. Its like the frosting that bakeries put on cakes, but I much prefer to make my own since I know what I am putting into it, and as always, homemade is best. This recipe contains raw eggs. We recommend that pregnant women, young children, the elderly and the infirm do not consume raw eggs.
