I followed the recipe exactly...the chowder had a really nice texture, but was really bland. This needs some chorizo, or a lot more bacon.

Pretty bland. I was rather disappointed. It also had too much corn; it was more like a dish of corn with some potatoes, all in a liquid, rather than soup that happened to have corn in it.

Ok as was, but I subsituted milk for the water, added some diced ham I had in the fridge, a can of crab meat, and some garlic. Delish!
