I used 1 lb. ground sausage and 1 lb. of beef, instead of 2 lbs. of beef. I also did not use pinto beans cause I didn't have them. This chili is even better the next day.

Excellent, quick chili recipe. I used 1 can of beef broth in place of the water, and crushed red pepper flakes instead of hot pepper sauce, and all kidney beans since that's what was in cupboard. Will definitely be my NEW chili recipe! Thanks for sharing.

Pretty tasty chili. We used pinto beans and black beans because it's what we had on hand. It's much better the next day too.

This is a fantastic receipe. Made it for a Christmas party and it was the hit of the party. A 5 yr old girl told me it was the best chili she ever had! Thanks for the suggestion about the dark beer, nice sweet contrast to the chili powder bit.

This is the chili to make if you are short on time ! Very flavoraful. I used 2 28ozs crushed tomatoes with puree instead of the diced tomatoes and the tomato paste and it turned out great, it was thick without the individual tomato chunks ( my kids don't care for the chunks ) I also added red & orange bell pepper puree ( leftover peppers that I sauteed with onions than pureed it ) for extra flavor and vegetables. My kids didn't know the peppers were in there so they ate it up ! It turned out Delicious !

Pretty good, not the best, but for the time involved in preparing, not too shabby. I made this in a rushed effort to get dinner on the table and wasn't expecting too much, I'm really surprised it had as much flavor as it did. We enjoyed it and ate all the leftovers, thanks!

I've made this recipe about a dozen times and I love it! The only thing I'd recommend is washing the canned beans in a colander to reduce the extra sodium in the canned juice. Otherwise the chili tastes too salty.

I thought this chili was very good. I was a little suprised by the italian taste (which I guess I shouldn't have been because of the seasoning). It was also very chunky, which me and my husband liked. Next time I think I'll omit the sugar because it was a bit too sweet for my tastes.

Excellent Chili! I tripled the recipe for a big party I was having and it turned out great. The only thing that I did differently was use all kidney beans instead of 1/2 kidney 1/2 pinto. The store I went to didn't have pinto beans! I think the cumin adds excellent flavour to this chili.

This is the Best Chili recipe ever!! The flavors come together so nicely! I use double the beans and Turkey instead of beef and I also throw in smoked beef sausage and my family loves it!

I used this recipe as a base for the ingredients I had on hand, different tomato products and beans. I added a can of tomato paste - as it seemed a bit soupier than I like. A winner with the kids too!
