Great base recipe!! I added a 14.5 oz. can of chicken broth, an extra can of diced tomatoes and some left over corn I had. I also added 1 tbsp. ground cumin. This is a very hearty chili and very filling. It's also another great recipe for those who enjoy lower carb meals.

I improvised a little on this recipe. We both loved it and this is a definite "make-again." I think one of the cool things about this recipe is that you really can make your own version, based on the outline this recipe provides.

great fall chili. You can try a can of regular pumpkin or a can that already has spices in it for a sweeter taste

Giving 5 stars but made added quite a few things based on personal taste...we like our chili spicy! Added corn cut off of three ears we have left over from previous dinner. Used 2tablespoons chili powder, two teaspoons cumin, one teaspoon red pepper flakes, juice of one lime, splash of hot sauce, can of tomatoes with green chilis, can reg diced tomatoes, can of Kidney beans and can of black beans.... Turned out wonderful! Served with jalepeno cheddar corn bread...umm umm good!

I have made this before and it is delicious. The recipe I use also includes a can of kidney beans, a can of chopped green chilies, a dash of cumin, and a dash of cayenne pepper.

Great recipe! I made a few changes though. Like many other reviewers, I added a can of black beans. I also found it to be a bit mild in spice, so I bumped up the amount of chilli powder and added some cayenne as well. Next time, however, instead of cayenne I will put in a real chilli pepper. Over all this is a great quick dinner! Thanks for posting!
