This is really good chili. I upped the seasoning a little after reading the reviews and instead of using plain diced tomatoes I used rotel tomatoes (that was all I had) and it turned out great. I have told a few people about the good pumpkin chili and they look at me like I am crazy, but it is really good and you can't taste the pumpkin.

I thought it was decent. You need to add a lot of spices to make it really good. However, I brought it to work and the one statement was, "This is not good." I say try it and then add your own spices. Oh and a can of beans and some corn really is needed for this recipe to work. I will make it again for myself, I think it is a personal taste.

This was a good chili, and although I love pumpkin, I have to say it was little odd having it chili. The flavor was subtle, but when you get a taste, it's... different.

Great! I used a packet of chili mix to season it. I also added a small can of sweet corn.

I rarely rate recipes, although I should because I rely on them so much. This recipe was awful. I am from the south and I could not make this work without emptying my pantry. The problem was that there was too much pumpkin and not enough spice. I simply could not make it work.

I recieved a recipe for Pumpkin Chili from a co-worker a couple of years ago. Since then I have altered this recipe and entered it in a many chili cook off's. The great thing with this recipe is that you can add/alter just about anything. In my opinion chili is all about personal taste. Some like it spicy.. some a but more mild. Grab a spoon and taste as you go!. Suggestions.. pumpkining spice is really what adds the "pumpkin" flavor to this recipe. Don't forget to add sugar or sweetener.. even with your chili spices (spicy) it will add to the overall affect. I use cambell's tomato soup in my recipe. Any kind of noodle will add weight. I have even used orzo! Great recipe! Super easy too!

Wonderful chili recipe (especially for Autumn!). I am very health conscious and found this recipe great because I cook with ground turkey instead of beef and have found that in some recipes, turkey lacks a certain depth that makes a recipe really yummy. Surprisingly, the pumpkin in this recipe takes care of that problem. I threw in a package of taco seasoning and topped the chili with some corn chips...YUMMMM! I will be making this again next week for sure!

I can't believe that I was brave enough to make chili with pumpkin in it. I'm so glad that I did. This is now my favorite chili recipe.

This is a delightful fall recipe and a great one for the crock pot. It is also a recipe that can be so easily adapted for personal tastes.

Who would ever think to add Pumpkin as a base for chili?? But this was so rich and good. The pumpkin adds a nice rich creamy subtly sweet base that makes the chili taste so good. My partner and I have chili cook-offs to see who can come up with the best chili recipe for dinner and tonight I won! Thanks for this.

DELICIOUS! I added an extra can of diced tomatoes as well as kidney beans, white beans, and pinto beans. Perfect!!! Even my 14 yr old brother who won't eat vegetables gobbled it up and went back for seconds!

A wonderfully healthy and filling meal! Definitely make sure to add spices to your taste. We liked the spiciness straight from the recipe though.

This was quite good and easy to make. I took other reviewers advice and added double the chili powder, almost 2 tbs cumin and added cilantro at the end. I think it still needed a little something, but a solid recipe I would make again. And while the pumpkin gave it a nice richness/thickness (oh, I added a can of corn, black beans, and an extra can of diced tomatoes), I think I'll throw another can in next time because I couldn't really "taste" the pumpkin per se.

I made this for my whole family, including my father who would never willfully eat ground turkey or pumpkin. Before he ate it, we told him it was "just chili". He ate it and loved it! Afterwards, we told him what was in it. He was shocked! He said it tasted like "regular chili" to him.

We enjoyed this but made a few changes. We didn't use any bell peppers. We added a can of kidney beans and 2 C chicken broth, and used ground chicken instead of turkey. I think it needs some more spices and less chili. The flavor is so close to being amazing...It just is missing a little something.

I agree it is a great base. My sis and I both made batches of this and spiced it up using things like black beans, spicy V8, and jalapenos.
