My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this! It was so quick and easy and very tasty. I served it with a crusty french loaf for a great weekday meal!

This was great. My kids like a mild chili, so I used only part of the chili powder. I did add 1 can of chicken broth to make the chili a little thinner. We played a game to try and guess the "secret" ingredient, and no one could come up with it! Thanks for the recipe.

this is perfect for what to do with your thanksgiving leftovers. but instead of using raw ground turkey(you cook yourself), you use the leftover cooked turkey you grind up yourself, and cubed fresh cooked pumpkin. and add some kidney,or pinto beans.

The recipe is a great base to start with. I tasted it and agreed with other reviewers it needed more, so I added a can each of tomato sauce, corn, and black beans, as well as additional spices. I will be making this for years to come!

Last year I did a "test run" on this first and it was really good. So I made it for a Halloween bonfire and it was a hit. I did add kidney beans and more to kick it up a notch. It was something different and I'll probably make it again this year.

This recipe turned out pretty well, but I read the reviews and added chicken stock as noted... It took about 2 cups to get it to the proper consistency. Definitely needed more spices that the recipe called for as everyone else has been saying too... But the pumpkin can't be tasted and it was a great way to get my boyfriend to try new foods! Would definitely make again!

I thought this was very good, and the mild flavor worked for my 3-year-old who liked it a lot! I did add a can of black beans and about a teaspoon of cumin. I also added water as it was too thick-- chicken broth would have been better, but I didn't have any on hand. I will definitely make it again.

The chili is a great idea but needs alot of work. It is way too bland. I added more chili powder and smoked paprika. And what is chili without cumin? I also added a jalapeno, oregano, corn, and a can of black beans. I love that this recipe has the two cups of pumpkin in it. Its flavor is very subtle. Most people probably won't even know its there. But it makes it too thick. So I added a whole can of chicken broth. I swapped out the canned tomatoes for the fire-roasted tomatoes. After all my changes I am proud to say it is much closer to a five now.

I gave this 4 stars because the recipe "as is" is WAY too bland for 5 stars. You can make this 5 stars by adding spices, but you'll need to be comfortable throwing in a "little of this and a little of that". I added chili powder, cumin, beer, black beans, corn, chopped jalepeno, 2 T of jalepeno juice from jar (this is vinegar based, but spicy) 1 T of liquid smoke, 1 beer, 2 T sugar, 2 T of taco seasoning, etc... As you can see, my addition list is long. It was REALLY yummy after all the doctoring. We've made several recipes on this site and the chili recipe with Zuchini (sp?) is our favorite.

I am so glad I tried this! The pumpkin makes it rich and delicious and you would never know it was pumpkin in it unless someone told you. I did make some changes though. I omitted the sour cream just because I don't like it and added quite a few more spices to jazz it up and make it more flavorful but it is a great base recipe.

If you really like pumpkin - this may be a 5 - but I did not enjoy the consistancy of the chili. It was too grainy. Flavor was good - but for whatever reason - the next day it didn't taste nearly as good (where normal chili is almost better the 2nd day).

My whole family liked this recipe including my husband who isn't a pumpkin fan. The only modification that I made was to add black beans. Definitely a recipe to add to the rotation.

This was way too thick and a bit bland, despite the spiciness. I put in some chicken broth and added some Vegeta (a European soup/food seasoning that you can order online--I rely on it a lot), and it was great! Would make it again with these additions. Don't worry if you're not a pumpkin fan--it doesn't have an overt pumpkin taste. I used a 15-oz. can of pumpkin, which was maybe just a little less than 2 cups.

This recipe was AMAZING! Though I didn't follow the original recipe. I read all the reviews and combined all the suggestions with what I had. The orange juice and honey recommedation was a great one, as was the cinnamon and nutmeg. I aslo added a can of tomatoes, a red bell pepper, carrots, corn, white kidney beans, sea salt and cumin, with cornbread muffins. It was healthy and surprisingly filling. This is a keeper!

I don't know about anyone else, but, I made this recipe and we all thought it was WAY too thick! I think we could have used forks....?!? Is it missing an ingredient to make it more liquid? Maybe chicken broth or something. Won't make this again.
