"Their cream cheese filling and sweet crunchy topping make these moist muffins one of my most requested recipes. They smell so good while baking on a cold, snowy day."

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg. In another bowl, beat the egg, milk, pumpkin and oil. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups one-fourth full. Place one cream cheese cube in the center of each muffin cup; top with remaining batter. In a bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add nuts. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 400 degrees F for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.

Pretty good muffins. Very moist! 18 minutes was perfect. I used Splenda in place of the 1/2 cup sugar. Not overly sweet, but yummy!

I made this recipe without the cream cheese and the nuts. These muffins were pretty good and my 1 year old daughter loved them. Might try them with the cream cheese in the future.

My family loved these muffins. I left out the cream cheese filling, but other than that, I kept the recipe the same. Fabulous!

These were just okay. They sounded SO good...I guess I had them built up in my mind. I keep thinking I did something wrong. They seemed like they had too much flour. My husband liked them but I don't they were worth the effort.
