This cake is very tasty though it does not have the texture of pound cake. I would describe this recipe as more of a pumpkin bread. I choose to omit the rum glaze because I didn't have the proper ingredients on hand. The taste of the cake is wonderful but I am giving it three stars because of the misleading title of the recipe.

Very moist, delicious cake! I substituted 1/2 cup of butter for a portion of the shortening since I didn't have enough shortening on hand. I added semi-sweet chocolate chips to the batter instead making a glaze. Yum!
