I received tons of compliments on this pie. They thought the pie had sweet potato in it and I didn't correct them as I have some family members who swear they do not like pumpkin. If they only knew.... Thanks again for sharing this simple pie recipe!

I took the suggestion below and substituted maple syrup for the corn syrup which worked well. Very easy to make recipe. Baking time also took longer than expected - total of 1 hour. IMO, I think I'd rather have either pumpkin pie or pecan pie rather than the two mixed together. Just my personal preference.

This pie is sensational. I used pure maple syrup instead of corn syrup and it was perfect. I've made it about half a dozen times in the past week (for work parties, etc) and never have any left over. I think this is a new favorite, definately one of the best pie recipes on this site. Thank you so much for sharing!

This was just ok. I'd much prefer having either pecan or pumpkin pie. My sister and husband said it wasn't necessary to ever make again. At least it's very easy to make.

I have to say I was unsure about this recipe. Looking at the ingredient list, and the way it looked all mixed together, it looked awful, and didn't smell very good. I don't like pumpkin pie, was just making this for my fiancee. My only complaint is the cook time was off for me. It took me a good 15 more minutes to get from soupy to firm. I had to try it to make sure it was edible, so I did, expecting not much of anything, but even without whipped cream, it was awesome!!! This is my 100% fave punmpkin pie recipe. And it's super easy to make!

This was a big hit with the family. I wasn't sure if it would be more like pecan pie or pumpkin pie but the consistency is definitely more like pumpkin pie.

The pecans kept the bottom crust from getting soggy. Next time I will finely chop the pecans instead of grinding and will use more. I used Butternut squash instead of pumpkin. It was very good.

This makes holidays so much easier! I love Pumpkin pie, my husband loves pecan pie, we decided to try this and it came out great. I used the pre-spiced can of pumpkin and added a few more drops of vanilla. Thanks for sharing it!
