What a wonderful treat! The only thing I did was increase the spices slightly and add walnuts. Oh - I also sent the recipe to my great sister-in-law!

This bread was wonderful! My 9 year daughter who is not big on anything cakey loves this! I had baked our jack-o-lantern and frozen it in zip lock baggies. I took out 2 baggies and let them thaw and poured the excess water off, and that is the pumpkin I used. I didn't have any allspice so I substituted 1/8 of a tsp of nutmeg 1/4 of cinnamon and 1/4 of cloves. I poured the batter into a 9 x 13 cake pan and it was baked through in just 30 minutes. The house smelled wonderful too!

Very good! I increased the spices a bit, because I like a little extra. Next time I might half the recipe, as I didn't realize it made two loaves! That was my silly mistake though. Very good pumpkin bread.

This dessert sure lives up to it's high rating. I followed the directions exactly except that I had to bake it an extra 15 min. (probably 10 would have done it). Perfect texture and a lovely colour. I am glad it made 2 loaves as 1 went out the door with my son tonight. All of these wonderful "Autumny" treats are why this is such an awesome time of year for baking.

if are having issues with this coming out anything less than PERFECT, you are not using the correct pan, ingredients, or your oven does not work properly. this is AMAZING and comes out perfect EVERY TIME!!! all my bunko girls requested the recipe and ALL my family requested it =) this is YUMMY!!!

****This was a hit with my family BUT I MADE CHANGES-reduced sugar from 3 cups to 1 1/2 cups, added 1/2 cup molasses, also cut water to 1/3 cup and added raisins. Cooked it in a bundt pan for 1hr 15 min @ 350. It looked wonderful. Served it with a Lemon Sauce(for company) but it was good on it's own and plenty sweet.

This is a fantastic base recipe, it's wonderful as is. It's pretty easily "healthified" by substituting stone ground whole wheat flour, applesauce for part of the oil, etc. without changing the flavor. Or it can be made into more of a dessert loaf by drizzling a cinnamon/butter/sugar recipe over it. Since I found this recipe I make it at least twice a month, definitely one of my favorite recipes!

Wonderful flavor, but it was waaaaaay too much batter for even extra-large bread pans. I will do this again for sure, but will use cake pans so that it will cook though. I baked my loafs for 1 1/2 hours but they never cooked in the middle so I gave up and we just ate the edges and threw away the middle.
