Yummy and soft cookie! I got 64 from this, and the frosting was the perfect amount - just covered them all. I added some candy corn to the tops and everyone loved them. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that the cookies on their own are a tad bland. Maybe adding some pumpkin pie spice would fix that problem.

I followed the recipe exactly, but substituted butter for shortening. The texture was good, cakey, like a pumpkin drop cookie should be. The flavor of the cookie itself was very bland, and may be helped by some extra cinnamon. I don't think the pumpkin to flour ratio could be changed without affecting the texture. With the icing, the cookies were much better, although they were still just good. I couldn't honestly say they were the best cookie ever, but I will make them again and tweak the recipe a little. They have a lot of potential, and the icing is great!

These were phenomenal. Don't skip out on the frosting. It's what makes these cookies so good. They get eaten very quickly.

If I was just rating the icing, i'd give it a higher score. But for a pumpkin cookie, I thought the cookie part turned out rather bland and dry. The icing, however, is really tasty and would work as a spread for other pumpkin breads or cookies.

Made these for the first time last night and they were fabulous!! Only thing I added was some walnuts. Brought them to work and got rave reviews and a marriage offer--not bad!!

I LOVE these cookies! So delicious for the fall and makes the house smell wonderful! The first time I made them, I followed the recipe exactly and they were delicious, but the second time I added vanilla and some nutmeg to the batter, and they were wonderful that way too. I am considering adding cinnamon applesauce to it next time to see if they would come out a little more moist, as I think they are a bit dry. Still one of my favorite cookies! Thanks for the excellent recipe! Great with the cinnamon frosting or cream cheese frosting, love it both ways!

OMG... These are so good. Without the frosting they are good, but with it, they are amazing. I added some dried cranberries to some of the dough, and next time I make these, I will add them to all of the dough. They made the cookies that much better.
