This is one of the better pumpkin breads and really does not need to be changed. I do cut back on sugar but that is a matter of taste. Love the addition of cranberries and orange - the orange takes it over the top.

This was wonderful! I followed the directions except for my usual changes where I substitute half of butter with apple sauce and flour for whole wheat. I didn't have any oranges so I used mandarin peel and it gives it such a great smell/flavor, glad I didn't skip it. I also ended up putting in 2 c. of fresh cranberries because I needed to use them up but it seems like 1 or 1 1/2 c. would be great as well. It turned out wonderfully tart and is so yummy with cream cheese. Thank you, thank you!

I was very skeptical when I realized how thick the batter was . . . the pumpkin bread I usually make (and love) has a much runnier batter. However, this bread is DELICIOUS! In fact, this is the bread that I am making ahead, freezing and giving to neighbors this Christmas!

Amazing! After looking at several recipes, this is the one I chose. The combination of pumpkin, orange and tart cranberries was perfect. I shared a slice with a friend and then shared the recipe with her. I plan on including this bread in my holiday gift baskets next year.

New favorite bread recipe! Brought to the family Christmas and was a big hit with all. I followed the recipe exactly, but used fresh pumpkin instead of canned. I also opted for fresh cranberries. I also had to bake for 75 minutes instead of 65.

I ended up making one loaf of bread and then about 9 muffins with this recipe. The muffins kind of fell apart, but still tasted pretty good. Excellent sweet bread recipe.

OOOOMMMGGGG GOOD!!! I used "whole cranberry sauce" when it's out of season and it's delicious. I also used the whole bag of walnuts. one of my all time favorite recipes ever!!!

I've made this several times and it's always a big hit. I don't bother chopping the cranberries. I think they look prettier, and taste juicier, when they're baked whole and sliced as the bread is sliced. Thanks so much for sharing this.
