I make this cake every Thanksgiving except the recipe I have calls for a browned butter glaze. Oh yum!!

Best Bread EVER!! I originally had this recipe from a Bisquick pamphlet in the early 80's. Lost the recipe in a move and was sooooo happy to find it again. Thank you for the posting. The only change I make is to substitute Cream Cheese Frosting for the glaze, that never seemed to turn out all that great and there was way too much of it. Cream Cheese Frosting and pumpkin bread ... what could be better?

totally Awesome! I made it for Thanksgiving... and it was G.O.N.E. The kids are begging for more... so, I'm cooking again. No changes needed totally a HIT!

This recipe was very good and moist. I do think it resembled more of a cake than a bread. I also had lots of leftover frosting. Next time im going to cut the frosting recipe in half so I don't waste so much.
