These are really, really good ribs. For my own taste I would go lighter on the chili poweder & a little heavier on the cumin. The cumin was a nice touch, unexpected and made a big difference. Used Sweet Baby Ray's as suggested in the other reviews & it was very good.

10+ - I was not able to use a grill but followed reviewers who made this and also had to use an oven. Put the rub on as directed and then baked the baby back ribs in a 325 oven for 1 hour - turned them over and cooked another hour. Slathered barbecue sauce on after the 2 hours and broiled them for 5 minutes. These were the most outrageous, tender juicy ribs I have ever made - and I have used many recipes from this site. Can't wait to try the 1 hour method with a grill. I will definitely make these ribs again over the week-end. Thanks Bonnie Q!

I have been using this recipes for years for my ribs. I made them yesterday for my daughter's 17th birthday. Her friends always request that I make these when they come over. I bought the ribs at BJ's (3 racks in a package), tripled the recipe adding an equal amount of garlic powder to the rub mix. The ribs always come out perfect - and they were gone in about 10 minutes! Always the sign of a great recipe!

For a first time griller, I was very worried that I would mess up a good slab of ribs. But this is a nice easy recipe for me to follow and the ribs turned out phenomenal. I cooked it almost exactly like the recipe called for ( I kept checking on ribs, just couldn't leave them alone) but they came out great. I used 'Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs' sauce recipe and they go great together.

I tried this recipe last night and the ribs turned out perfect. My husband, who is not a rib person, loved them. He could not get enough. Also, I use the butter knife paper towel method to remove the membrane-worked like a charm. I will now cook my ribs like this all the time.

I use this dry rub for ribs and chicken! It's the greatest! I keep it in the cabinet with my spices. I use less cumin and add garlic powder. Easy!

I made this recipe for a group of 8 friends and let me tell you.. they loved them!! I followed the steps to detail, but due to the quantity (i cooked 9lbs.) had to increase the time in the oven to 3 hours well sealed in aluminum foil. After that bathed them in Barbecue sauce twice 15 min each, and the meat was tenderly falling off the bone! A trully great recipe I will do again!!

These got rave reviews. I was unable to grill them so I baked my 3 lbs. wrapped in foil at 300 for 2 1/2 hrs. then unwrapped, poured bbq sauce on them and put them under the broiler on low for about 15 mins. Getting the membrane off the back of the ribs was very difficult. I had quite a time of it. But I guess it was worth it since they were not tough at all.

Only changes I made were to add garlic pepper and kosher salt to the rub, used hickory wood chips in the smoker of my grill, and sweet baby ray's bbq sauce. YUM.

Great taste and yes, they fall off the bone. I like to add more sauce and finish on the grill. The sauce turns dark red and carmelizes nicely on the ribs

I made this recipe for my husband as I don't like ribs. I rubbed the stuff all over the ribs, poured on the KC Masterpiece honey bbq sauce, wrapped them in foil, and let them sit in the fridge for about 24 hours. The next day, I cooked them in the oven at 300 for 3 hours. Then when my husband came home from work, he stuck them on the grill and coated them with more sauce. He said the taste was awsome and they fell off the bone. I will definately make again. Thanks!

I've never cooked ribs before and tried this recipe tonight. They were really good. I was looking for something fairly straight forward and these fit the bill. The rub was good but I added a few things like garlic powder and light brown sugar which gave them an amazing taste. They were tender but not fall off the bone tender. Not sure how I can change that. I heated my gas grill up to about 600 and then turned the heat right down to low as I put them on. They seemed to cook at about 450 for the full hour. Next time I might try to keep the heat a little lower and cook them longer. I did have them on the top rack away from the direct heat as well with the foil underneath. Regardless they were REALLY good and something I would serve to company no problem. Can't wait to eat them again.

I've used this a few times and turned out great. Simple and perfect mix of spices! Thanks for this recipe, I will always use this for my ribs! I just wanted to add that I've also experimented with pork steak with this rub and it's delicious of course. I wonder if you couldn't use it on other meats as well. I have made this dozens of times since first review and still love it as much.
