I haven't made this recipe myself yet but had a wonderful gal at work make them for my last day! She used peanut-butter m&ms instead of the pecan and they were awesome this way!!!

I thought this would be a good "beginner" recipe for my granddaughters, who are just little fledgling bakers. They LOVED making them , they are simple enough they needed next to no supervision and they were SOOO proud of thier handy work. all the kids raved about them and they were gone in record time. Like one reviewer said "double the recipe" Its a hit ! and its somthing the kids can make for thier own school bake sales and functions !

I used Rolos (tubes so I didn't have to do a lot of unwrapping) and put toasted pecans on half the turtles and cashews on the other half. I used the square salted pretzels. These were super easy to make and very delicious. Took them to a party and brought home an empty Tupperware. Will definitely make again!

These are great for a party. Even someone that doesn't cook can make these. Don't try to make these for a party unless you can make them in advance. It is hard to transport them if they have not cooled. This will be on my list to make this Christmas for gifts.

These are so delicious and the easiest thing to make EVER! People loved these little treats! I could not find Dove chocolates and used Rolos. Update-Finally found the Dove chocolates and loved them even more. I have made these numerous times and they are going in a flash EVERY time!

These are just amazing! I have used this recipe twice, once with regular snap pretzels and once with butter snaps. The butter snaps made the overall flavor much more delightful.. I mean, is there a better match that butter + pecan? I highly recommend using the butter flavored. Also, I prefer the dove candies which are a little more 'presentable' because they keep their shape and look less squished.

I used Riesen Chocolate Caramel candies that resulted in "turtles" that were cute but not good to eat. They were way too hard to eat - could have pulled a loose tooth out easily!

Well, these are good but there still seems to be something missing...I could not really taste the pacan even though I toasted them for a bit before placing on the chocolate. I used Snyder pretzel squares and Dove chocolate caramels (oh my gosh, so good) and was overall a little disapointed. They do look beautiful, like something you'd see in a fancy candy store. I will still serve them at my annual Halloween party and continue to experiment until I find the missing 'wow' factor.

These we awesome! I couldn't find the snap/square pretzels, so I used regular round pretzels and Rolos. I topped with another pretzel instead of a pecan because I didn't have pecans available and the people I was making them for didn't like pecans.

Okay, they tasted like Rolos with pretzels and nuts. No one liked them. Gave 2 stars because they look nice when finished.

These are the greatest and so easy. I use Rolos and the little square pretzels. Be sure to toast the pecans before making... adds that extra special flavor.

I made these for a small friend get together. The adults did not like these as much as the children did because they eventually got hard as the night progressed and they returned to room temp. (I used Milk Duds instead of a softer candy because I hate unwrapping the individual candies, so that might have been the problem right there). If you needed to warm them up, a quick burst in the microwave or the oven warmed these right up and they tasted excellent! I give these 5 stars for taste and how easy they were! Great recipe :)
