This turned out great. Even though a few of my friends made fun of me for bringing "Jello" to a party, they all ate it and liked it. Yummy!

This is one of my family's favorites! We add the sliced strawberries to the jello. Hate to admit it, but I think I could eat the whole thing!! Yummmmm!

I have been asked for this recipe 3 different times, and I only made it once! The guests at my home loved the salty crust in contrast to the sweet dessert layers. I highly recommend trying this on your family.

My Grandmother also has a similar recipe, however, she used either fresh or frozen strawberries in the jello which really makes a difference! It is absolutely delicious that way!

This is a great dessert and a definite do-over for my family. Thanks to a previous reviewer, I did substitute the plain jello topping with 1 cup of boiling water, 3oz Cherry Jello mix, and 1 can of cherry pie filling. I also used a spring-form pan and made this similar to a cheesecake. Love this one!

I personally have had this recipe for ages. It came to me from a community cook book. Some differences are instead of making the jello topping with jello alone, they used 1 cup of hot water to melt the jello, then added a regular sized can of cherry pie filling, mixing till the pie filling broke down and cooled some, then poured this mixture over your dessert.

This is one of my favorite recipes...however, I add fruit to the gelatin. I use frozen strawberry slices. My family's favorite is when I use raspberry jello and frozen mixed berries. Never any leftovers!
