This was the first recipe that I have been disappointed with on this site. I followed the directions and the recipe came out flavorless and mushy. I added a lot of salt and pepper, as well as garlic for flavor, but it was still very bland. Worst than that, it was too soggy and almost inedible. The recipe looked promising and the other reviews were very good, so I'm not quite sure where I went wrong. I made the rice the way I always do, in my rice coooker. Although the recipe does not specify the type of rice, perhaps I will try it again with a different (less soft) type of rice, like Minute Rice. Or maybe I'll forgo baking it in the oven and top the rice with the rest of the ingredients right before serving. That way the rice won't have a chance to get soggy.

Easy and good. I took this to a church potluck and it disappeared. I browned the meat mixture the night before and put it all together in the crockpot the next morning. It worked well in the crockpot.

A very easy quick recipe and it tastes good too! Left overs are just as good as when it comes out of the oven. I used a 16 oz can of tomatoes as I thought 28 oz would be too much and it was just right for us. This is another recipe that you can season to taste.

This recipe would be good as a filling for cabbage rolls. I served it tonight with a side of garlic bread. To be served by itself it needs a little seasoned salt. Also, I suggest using sweetened saurkraut. Very quick and easy to make.

This is one of the best recipes i've tried from this site, and its feels like i'm eating healthy. Even my picky husband like it. All though I did add some salt, pepper and garlic to this recipe. This is a definate do again. thanks for the recipe

Loved everything about this meal...easy to prepare and tasted delicious...brought back memories of my father's german cooking. Don't skip the sauerkraut, it adds a wonderful flavor. Served with a spoonful of sour cream on top. A definite keeper, thanks!

This tasted good and is very healthy. The portions were fairly large. This was enough for a meal. There was no need for a side dish.
