DIRECTIONS
Cut ribs into serving-size pieces; place with the meaty side up on racks in two greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pans. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1-1/4 hours or until meat is tender.
Drain; remove racks and return ribs to pans. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over ribs. Return to the oven, uncovered, for 35 minutes or until sauce coats ribs, basting occasionally. Ribs can also be grilled over medium-hot heat for the last 35 minutes instead of baking.

Make that 6 stars, if you use the exact same recipe and put threm in a slow cooker for 7-8 hours. I had five requests for the recipe when I took these to a potluck lunch at work. I stirred them up a couple of times during the cooking, to make sure they were well basted. Everybody, and I mean everbody loved the slowcooker version. When I finally cooked them in an oven (fourth time I tried the recipe) I was dissappointed. Still good, but no comparison.

After cutting the ribs the night before, I assembled the ingredients and then slow cooked the ribs in my crockpot at work in our break room. The aroma proved to be irresistable and I soon noticed that people were wandering into the breakroom from all over our 80,000 square foot building!! To my delight, there wasn't one rib left. I actually had a co-worker BEG me for the recipe over two months later because she couldn't duplicate the recipe on her own. Try them, you won't be disapointed.

We normally asked my husband to make spareribs because he made them so good. He swore on using a particular store-bought sauce and we thought there was nothing better - until I made this dish! It's not too hot and it's not overly sweet like other sauces we've tried. We'll never deter from this recipe, that's for sure!

I feel badly about giving this such a low rating after all previous reviewers gave it 5 stars. I give it 5 stars for the taste of the sauce and for the tenderness of the pork but unfortunately for all of us we thought the meat itself was tasteless. This was easy to make but if I ever use this again I would put some kind of rub or seasoning on it before baking it. My favorite ribs on this site are Freak'n Good Ribs and Baby Back Ribs - both must be marinated ahead of time - but it is so worth the wait!!!

I usually cook ribs on the grill, so I was hesitant, but it was cold out and I decided to try this recipe. They were so good! I was very pleased and so was my little guy who loves ribs!

I too made this recipe in my slow cooker, and used a pork tenderloin. I loved the sauce, but had to make a few changes. I was out of soy sauce, so I used worchestershire sauce, and added some hot sauce. The hot sauce gave it a sourthern spicy bbq. Next time, and I will make it again, I would just cut down on the sugar.

WOW! This is the best recipe for ribs I have ever made. The sauce has really great flavor and really sticks to the ribs. I was busy and only basted once and still they were totally saucy.

Very good!! I didn't have ginger or soy sauce but I added worcestershire sauce instead and about a tablespoon of hot sauce like another reviewer suggested. Next time I think I'll add more hot sauce and maybe marinade it.
