Making homestyle potato chips is fun and easy. Guaranteed they wont last long! A food processor with a slicing attachment is very helpful. Experiment with the thickness, you may like them thicker or thinner. I like to use olive oil because it has less trans fats, but you can use safflower, corn, or peanut oil as well as vegetable oil.

These take time to prepare, but they're worth it! Yukon Gold potatoes are mashed with cottage cheese and butter, then wrapped in a circle of dough. The pierogi are boiled and then fried. Serve with sour cream, butter and fried onions, if desired.

No yeast in these terrific rolls. The dough is made from bread and the filling, you guessed it, is potatoes. Mashed potatoes are gussied up with sauteed onions, turmeric, chili powder and cilantro. Then a scoop is place in the center of a flattened piece
