I deleted the pickles because my family is not fond of them, but I received lots of compliments on the salad.

This actually came out pretty good! I was a bit skeptical because of all the ingredients that went into this. I'm use to good old fashion potato salad and never had any with peppers or sweet pickles. I used 3 celery stalks instead of 4 (we're not big fans of celery) but I actually didn't even taste it in the potato salad. I also increased the mustard to 2 tablespoons and increased the mayo to 2 cups - we like mayo :) I only used 1/2 onion because it was a sweet onion and was a fairly large one. Lastly, I used 2 tsp white sugar. It was really good. I think the sweet pickles and mustard made a huge difference in this salad. Will definitely make again! Thanks for a great recipe Ellen!

I used a 3 lb. bag of potatoes, so reduced the ingredients accordingly. I used only about 3 baby dills as I don't care for sweet pickles, and added a little sprinkle of dill along with a splash of the dill pickle juice. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you Ellen!

YUMMY!!! I followed the directions exact and also added olives and an extra egg. I ended up adding a little more mustard and a dash more of mayo, but we like it a little runny, I think it was actually perfect the way it was written!!! Thanks for this summertime staple!

I didn't care for this potato salad recipe at all. It was a bit too tangy for me - and my potatoes were "mushy". I prefer a more "classic" recipe made with chopped egg, sweet or dill pickles, celery, fresh herbs, a little mustard and mayonnaise. I halved the recipe and it STILL made a lot. I don't think I'll be making this one again... Sorry!

Yummy! This is a hit everytime I make it. I leave out the celery and bell pepper just to make everyone happy. Creamy goodness!

I usually prefer my potato salad plain (with just mayo, mustard, & pickles) but I was serving this to company and didn't want it to be bland. I sauteed my onions, bell pepper, and celery because I don't care for the flavor of raw onion. I left out the sweet pickle and added dill pickle...Sprinkled with paprika and walla! instant hit!

Ok, I forgot to get the pickles, but I still don't think this would have helped out. I mean, it was OK, no one complained however for the amount of labor involved, I expected this to be a WOW. Would not make again.

I was looking for a Mustard-type potato salad and this is the "first" one that I came across. I added a bit more mustard for taste and for ease of preparing, i julienned the potato on a Pampered Chef slicer. The taters had a bit less texture to them, but boiled a lot faster. All in all, I was very pleased with this recipe, but you will probably need to add salt at the table. Slim down on the celery if the majority of your family isn't celery lovers. This recipe actually feeds more than what it says - i have half a bowl left over. Also, if you have the time and the room, make this dish 2 days before to make sure all the flavors blends. I made this 24 hours ahead of time, but it was even better Monday!

Everyone raved about this potato salad. I did add more mayo and mustard than called for to make it creamier. Will definitely make this one again. The pickles add a great taste to it as well.

This was the first time I made a potato salad and I thought it was great. I did follow the advice of other reviewers and doubled the sauce. I also added some paprika. I think next time I will add some other spices to perk it up a bit, but I was glad I chose this recipe for my first attempt...thanks!

This was a big hit with my elderly residents, reminding them of an old favorite. I used regular potatoes that were on sale instead of the red ones.

Great recipe! I had to add A LOT more Mayo and Mustard to make it the way I like it=creamy :) I also didn't add the green pepper....that would be way too crunchy for us. Definitely worth a try and tweak it to your tastes.

I just used this for a college social party. I made one recipe and it was absolutely huge. I couldn't even mix it in one bowl bec it was so big. I had to add more mayonnaise to make it work....I'm not sure if the relish made it more watery at first or if I didn't drain the potatos enough. I would say that I had upwards of 22 servings. My fiance really liked it. He thought it looked strange bec I diced the potatos rather fine . It was easier to serve and eat with smaller potato cubes. Mariza
