I honestly do not know where these have been all my life. If you have a hankering for some chips, this is your ticket!! The only choice to make is what to season them with. I went with salt, cayenne, garlic powder and old bay...I like some flavor and heat. Absolutely phenomenal recipe. For my wave, 6 1/2 minutes was perfect. Make sure to not overlap the chips as well.

I am always skeptical about microwave recipes, but I was hungry and had unused potatoes. So I gave it a try. I just sprayed a pan, laid out the potato slivers and then sprayed again with pam. The easiest way to make the potato chips if you don't have the mandilin, then use a peeler. Takes a little practice, but works perfectly fine. I seasoned with a little lemon pepper, salt, and cajun seasoning...yummy.

This recipe is unbelievable! The chips taste just like out of the bag. I just sprayed a little pam on some parchement paper and layed out the potato slices and sprayed a little more pam on top. I sliced the potatoes very thin with a vegetable peeler. It took exactly 3 min. in my microwave and we ate them all just as fast as they came out. This recipe isn't very practicle if you want to make a lot of chips because it takes so long. But for someone who is on a diet and needs that salty chip fix, this is perfect.

These were really good and easy. It does take time since you can only cook so many at once. We like these with malt vinegar sprinkled on them.

Excellent!! The trick is to cut them very, very thin. I had to cut the potato by hand because my mandolin didn't cut them thin enough. My microwave is old so I had to cook them quite a bit longer. I put parchment paper in the microwave and put the slices directly on the paper. I sprayed them with buttery Pam before baking. Yum!

It was too bad. This came out much better than I thought it would. My husband was suprised I made them in the nuker. But it was alot of work. Having to watch them and having to do so many batches. I stopped when the house started to smell odd, and my hubbie said it was due to not having enough "stuff" in the nuker. i think the oven or the fryer is the best bet though.

What an amazing recipe! I was surprised it really worked and now I am elated. I can produce fat-free potato chips at home! (I used Pam spray as another reviewer suggested--butter flavor). I can not WAIT to try these with other flavorings and am now wondering if this process would work on other vegetables! Thank you for submitting this recipe!

after experimenting with this recipe a couple times (which is so versatile!) I've discovered that Yukon Gold potatoes make the BEST potato chips I've ever had using this method! I used pam spray instead of the bag method just to save time and I had to microwave mine for about 5 to 5 1/2 minutes and I have a very powerful microwave. I just cut mine thin using a sharp knife. They turned out great even without being super thin. thanks so much!

Don't make the mistake of trying this with the main meal. For something different, I make wings and these chips - trust me, you won't be able to keep up with production! My husband and son gobbled them up. The recipe suggested a light oiling of a dinner plate - I suggest a heavier coating (chips stuck with a light coating) and I used olive oil. I did five min, salted, then another three min. A great snack.

The only problem with this recipe is you can't cook them fast enough! Oh - and my microwave died close to the end! These were so good - my 12 yr old and I got them down to an assembly line - he would wash and slice them, I would spray the plate and spread the potato's in a layer spray them again and put them in the microwave - then get another plate ready while that one was cooking. Used kosher salt on some and Morton's hot salt on the others! Will make again once we replace the microwave!

I was told you could do this but I had NO idea it would turn out so well! My husband and I now prefer these to the staple bag of chips from the store. Wonderful taste and NOT greasy!

Like everyone else I was skeptic. And I was very surprised. These are perfect. Watch them carefully. Mine took 5 minutes. Nothing needs to be changed. Like one reviewer stated, she was creative and made potato doilys, how clever and yummy. Go for it, you will not believe how easy, and tasty.

This is amazing...I had no idea you could make potato chips in the microwave. Chips need significantly longer to cook in the microwave than recipe states (mine took between 8-10 minutes). All in all this recipe ROCKS!

Needed a snack for a rainy Sunday afternoon,& gave this a try. So easy & sooo good! Used a slicer, Pam Spray, & a microwave/bake dish. Took 6 minutes per potatoe in my 1200 watt micro. Used salt, then garlic powder on later batches. A great snack & I will definetely be doing this again! Thanks for the great recipe.Update after sharing:Was told this is what to bring to our next get-together & they want to try different spices/seasonings. A grand-slam hit all the way around!

These were good, but I was having trouble pulling them out of the microwave. They were either too done or undercooked. I did find a good spice for them, though. It's grillmates barbecue spices...yum.
