Potato Beef Casserole
SUBMITTED BY:
Shirley Goering
"'I sometimes add chopped onion when browning the ground beef for this fast-to-fix main dish,' relates Shirley Goering of New Ulm, Minnesota. 'I often serve this comforting casserole for dinner or double the recipe to take to potlucks,' she comments."

I made this for dinner, I cant imagine cooking this for an hour and a half, when it is not that great of a meal. I thought it was boring. it really lacks something. I did cut the cooking time in half by boiling the potatoes first. then it only had to bake in the oven for 30 min.

Was good comfort food. Portions were proper, easy to follow. It's just a hot dish, not a to-die-for dinner. Would make again if asked, but won't on my own.

Yummy! Everyone loved this (12yr old, 8yr old and hubby.) Very easy to make. Added a bag of frozen mixed veggies, used cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of chicken. Definitely a keeper! Thanks.

I wasn't too sure about this recipe at first, but the ingredients matched what I had on hand at the end of 2 weeks without a shopping trip, so I thought, we'll give it try. The family LOVED it! My 6 year old son even drew me a good cook certificate. I modified slightly, cooking the ground beef with onions, salt and pepper then adding the soups and some shredded cheese to it right on the stove then served over egg noodles. Yummo! What a surprise find.
