Poppy Seed French Toast

What a wonderful twist on a French toast morning. Pop poppy seeds into your egg batter, laced with lots of freshly grated nutmeg and cinnamon. Dip your bread and fry until fragrant and brown. Try different breads to give even more variety.

Freezer French Toast

I don't care for prepackaged frozen French toast, but I rarely have time in the mornings to prepare it from scratch. Then my friend gave me this wonderful recipe. I keep a freezer full of these slices and simply pop them into the oven for a homemade breakfast in no time.

French toast topped with muenster cheese. I know it sounds weird, but you have to taste it!

For this French toast casserole, you layer the syrup, bread and milk-egg batter in a baking dish the night before. In the morning, just bake and serve for a time-saving breakfast everyone can enjoy.

There are many, fancy variations on this basic recipe. This recipe works with many types of bread - white, whole wheat, cinnamon-raisin, Italian or French. Serve hot with butter or margarine and maple syrup.
