Not the most attractive dish, I must say, but VERY comforting and yummy. We made this several times with an abundance of garden cabbage. I made with four smaller boneless chops and heaped the cabbage on top. I cut the salt out completely and put in a bit more black pepper. I also added a little fennel and some caraway seeds...on a whim. That was a nice extra taste for us, too. Thanks for a hearty meal we'll definitely eat again!

I was doubtful that this recipe would be very good, but I had left over pork and cabbage so I decided to try it. It was surprisingly quite good. My husband loved it. Just a note: I didn't bother boiling the soup, I just mixed it really well and poured it over the browned pork chops in a casserole dish(I don't have any other oven safe pan. I also used a small clove of garlic, minced, instead of garlic powder. It's perfect proportions for two people.

My husband and I had this last night - it was so easy and quick to make - and it tasted great. We are not usually cabbage lovers - but we loved the flavor of this recipe.
