SUBMITTED BY:
Lou Ann Marques-Bambera
"I've always liked pork chops made with apples or onions. I decided to combine both ingredients to create this delicious recipe. Many family members and friends have requested it."

DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, combine the pepper, salt and garlic powder. Rub over pork chops. Grill chops, covered, over medium heat for 7-9 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F and juices run clear.
Meanwhile, in a skillet, saute onions and apples in butter until tender. Add brown sugar; cook until thickened and bubbly. Serve with the pork chops.

We liked the combination of flavors- with the peppered pork, the tart apple, and the onion. Was a nice way to dress up pork in a different way. Will make it again.

My family really enjoyed this recipe. The first time we made it, we felt like it had too many onions (which is surprising since we like onions). So the next time we made it we reduced it to one onion. That was just the right amount. I will definitely make this again.

my husband and I absolutely loved this recipe. We used pork sirloin instead, but the flavor was still delicious.

My family loved this recipe. It was quick and easy. I used Splenda's version of brown sugar and Lowry's meat tenderizer in place of salt and it was very tasty. The kids didn't care for the onions, but loved the apples. But my husband and I loved the mix of flavors. My husband took the leftovers for lunch the next day. I'll be making this dish again

These pork chops were wonderful. I would have never thought that apples and onions would have been a good combination but they brought the flavor of the pork out wonderfully. Great recipe!

Fantastic! I used garlic flakes instead of the garlic powder. Also I used half an onion because I only had quite large ones. Margarine works just as well as butter.
