Pork Chops in Tomato Sauce
SUBMITTED BY:
Cindy Glancy
"'This is a variation of a main dish that my dad always made,' writes Cindy Glancy of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. 'I now add some special touches of my own when I make it for my husband and two children. The tender chops are fast to fix on a weeknight.'"

This recipe was AWESOME! My husband and I liked it so much he wants me to make it every night! I added some extra seasoning and I let it simmer for about an hour until the pork chops practically fell apart. I am currently on Weight Watchers and this wasn't bad on points either. Great recipe!!

It was amazing!!! The only thing I did a little different was season my chops while browning them. I added a little of lawry's seasoning salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and italian seasoning. I also added a little italian seasoning to the tomato sauce. And I as well cooked it about 40-50 minutes. It really just depends on the side of the chops.

These were pretty good. A nice change from all those dishes containing cream-of-something soup. The only change I made was to simmer the chops longer - for about an hour, and they turned out very tender. The sauce was good over rice. A nice everyday sort of dish, for those times when you want a home-cooked meal but you don't want to be in the kitchen all day.

Great recipe! I changed it slightly. I didn't have dry white wine and the chicken broth didn't give it enough flavor for me, so I added a little Balsamic vinegar and rosemary. It was excellent!

I am not a huge fan of pork chops but this recipe was pretty tasty! My family loved it. I added a couple of pinches of brown sugar and garlic powder to the tomato sauce. I also seasoned the pork chops with salt pepper and garlic salt and let them simmer for about a half hour.

Awesome! I served the pork chops with rice, and the sauce was so delicious with rice. My in-laws and my husband loved it. I made some changes though. I used 2 small onions instead of ½ small onions (4 servings recipe). Also, instead of 1 can tomato sauce, I used 2 small chopped and mashed tomatoes, 1Tbs of brown sugar, 1 1/2Tbs of ketchup, 1 Tbs of sun-dried tomato pesto, and a dash of Worcestershire sauce (I didn’t realize I ran out of can tomato sauce until the last minute). I used 1 cup of chicken broth by mistake, but it turned out to be okay. I simmer the pork chops for about 40 minutes. I think marinaded pork with garlic powder, pepper, and seasoned salt added more flavour to the dish.
