Not good at all...WAY too oily, sauce wasn't very flavorful. The pork chops were tender but ANYTHING cooked in the crockpot comes out tender. Won't make this ever again.

When I found this recipe I was actually looking for a recipe for a small pork loin roast. After reading several reviews, it seemed unanamous that there was too much soy sauce, so I decreased the amount of soy sauce to 1/4 cup and added 1/4 cup pineapple juice. I also prepared steamed white rice which we drizzled the strained sauce over (yummy) and broccoli. We will definitely have this meal again.

I know a lot of people liked this recipe, but my family and I did not. Will not make again, do not recommend. Maybe it's just not our taste.

I followed other reviewers' suggestion to reduce cooking time to 3 hrs on low for thin cut chops and to reduce soy sauce. Pork chops turned out very tasty and tender. I am a slow cooker novice, but I will definitely make this dish a regular.

My husband loves it, and my 2 toddlers did also. I'll be using this recipe more often. I didn't have fresh garlic so I used a tsp of powdered, and I added a tsp of lime (lemon will do too) juice to add a little tang. It was great. Thanks a bunch, Cheers April!

We all loved this recipe. I didn't have brown sugar so I used a couple of tsp of honey. I only used 3 tsp of soy sauce. I also used tomato sauce because of its high nutritional value and the ketchup. Overall, I will definitely make this again. The meat just fell off of the bone. Very delicious.

Well this is the first time I've ever cooked in a slow cooker and the first time Ive ever made pork chops.. so i was a bit scared but it didnt come out too bad..I added 1/4 cup honey, and doubled the sauce recipe. I then marinated the chops in 1/2 the marinade for about 2 hours then I mixed about 3/4 of a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's hickory and brown sugar bbq sauce with the rest of the marinade and poured it over the chops. Mine were falling off the bone in about 3 1/2 hours. My only complaint is that they were a bit to sweet..but that was my fault because I added a bit more brown sugar and honey. Also when my chops were about an hour away from cooking, the sauce in the pot seemed a bit watery so I disolved about 2 tsp of corn starch in 2 tsp of cold water and added it to the pot and it thickened up almost to a nice glaze.. I will be making this again.. except this time I wont add the extra honey and brown sugar! Thanks for the recipe!

Made this for the first time with company coming...making extra for leftovers...so much for that plan. Did add a large onion sliced and subbed Splenda brown sugar for regular. Had lots of juice to put over the brown rice I served along with veggies. The chops were fall apart tender and moist. This is a keeper for sure...look forward to making it again soon.

This is my second review, I upgraded to 5 stars with the following changes: bone-in chops didn't get tough like the boneless, season and brown the chops under the broiler about 3 minutes on each side before putting into slow cooker, add rice vinegar and honey. Very tasty!

Wish I read more reviews before making this recipe. I cooked the pork for 6 hours and they were horribly dried out. The sauce was overwhelmingly soy sauce. Couldn't taste any of the other flavors. Always looking for an easy slow cooker recipe, but will not try this one again.

good pantry recipe as it doesn't require anything out of the ordinary. i added cut potatos, onions and lots of ginger. made with both boneless pork chops and boneless back loin. good quick recipe - thanks!

I was looking for a quick, slow cooker recipe for pork chops. I liked that I had everything on hand for this recipe. I thought it was pretty tasty, although nothing super exceptional. I may make it again - I like the fact that it wasn't a cream soup base.

Wonderful...make sure to double the sauce, cut back on the soy sauce and only cook for about 3-4 hours.

4.5 stars. I cut the soy sauce to 1/4 cup as recommended by others, and added some water as well (less than 1/4 cup). Next time would cut down the amount of brown sugar used. Chops were melt-in-your mouth tender, and the sauce reminded me of southern style BBQ sauce. Shredded the leftovers with some sauce from the pot and had an excellent sandwich the next day. Watch your cooking time on your crock pot!! My chops were cooked after 4 hours on low, and would have been nearly ruined if left to cook the whole 6 hours.

Based on other reviews, I made some changes to the recipe. I increased the ketchup to 1/2 cup. I added 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce because I needed more liquid to cover the chops. I did not add any additional salt, as the soy sauce is salty enough. Finally, I cooked these on low for 3.5 hours. They came out moist and tender.

Well, I made these today, doubling the sauce and cooking them for 7 hours (I didn't have any choice - I was at work). End result, a charred mess. My husband is out getting dinner right now. :) But seriously, these smelled DELICIOUS and I am going to make them again pronto, but not on a work day - I'll make them when I can be home to watch them and make sure they don't cook for longer than about 3 hours or so, like the other reviewers said. I think they'll be a hit. Perhaps this recipe was based off of the older slow cookers that cooked at lower temperatures? Anyway, definitely try this recipe but DON'T let it go for 6 hours. Cheers! Note at a later date: I did make these again, and they're great! I used only 1/4 cup soy, increased ketchup to 1/2 cup, then doubled the sauce and cooked for only 3 hours. Yum! Served with coleslaw and brown rice.
