This was great! I cooked it for about 5- 5 1/2 hours on low. It really was tender and fell apart. YUM! Following other recommendations, I added some honey and cut down the soy sauce. I also added some sliced mushrooms an hour before it was finished- I might saute them first next time. I served it over some steamed rice and am happy to have leftovers!

I'm giving this 4 stars only because, for some reason, the chops were tender but dry. Next time I'm going to only slow cook it for half of the time & see what happens.

Not bad. The flavor was really good, the hubby and daughter liked it alot. Seven hours is a little long in the slow cooker for my kitchen, next time I might try five to six hours. Thanks!

Fantastic recipe... not five stars because the chops were dry but I really think that it is next to impossible to get tender chops out of a crock pot. I did double the sauce - had 8 boneless chops - cooked on high for about 1 hour and low for 2-3. Followed the recipe except for: added two big squirts of honey and halfed the soya sauce filling up the other half with water. Will definitely make again and try with chicken too!

Did not turn out well for us. I haven't found a pork slow-cooker recipe that I really like, though, so it could just be me.

YUM! This was very good. However, next time I make this I will definitely reduce the amount of soy sauce as it was pretty strong for me. Also, I would suggest not adding any more salt. The soy sauce and ketchup are salty enough. And I think I will try some honey added in next time too, as I was wishing it were a tad sweeter.

My husband loved this but I thought it was just okay. I made it according to the recipe more or less but next time I might consider some of the suggested modifications. I thought it was a little salty.

This was an Awesome dish!!! I did tweak a few things though....I cut the soy sauce in half (!/2 cup low sodium by the way). I added 1/2 cup of honey and instead of plain ketchup. I used the new spicy ketchup by Heinz. Also I increased the brown sugar to 1/2 cup. The first time I made it I used bone in pork chops.....Not such a good idea!!! I had to make sure the bones weren't in the sauce by fishing them out when it was done cooking. The second time I made this I used a pork tenderloin......It turned out kinda dry. I think it was because I tried to cook it to fast. Overall....My Husband loves it and so does my 3 year old.....Will be a "staple" in my house.

I follow the recipe exactly and found that the sauce was way too thin for my taste,It would be better to just put a bottle of barbecue sauce on top of the chops intead, or add more brown sugar?? Although the runny sauce would be fairly good on rice. Chops were tender but dry.

I'll give this a weak four stars. I just didn't find it that appealing although my husband liked it more. I did use low sodium soy sauce. I added a bit of onion powder, garlic powder and worcester sauce. It was ok. What bothers me is it is the same recipe as Peking Pork Chops other than this one has one extra clove of garlic.

If you are not feeling like putting in a whole lot of effort, this is a good recipe. Not great, but not bad. And it certainly is easy. Just not a whole lot that is really special going on here. Maybe fresh ginger rather than powdered would help... I may make this again if I am pressed for time, but it won't be in heavy rotation at my house.

This recipe is easy and turns out deliciously tender pork chops. The flavor is reminiscient of BBQ, but not quite as sweet. I thickened the sauce with TB corn starch dissolved in a TB water and it coated the pork chops nicely. However, the next day was a better hit when I shredded the meat and added a sweet BBQ sauce and served on buns. Very versatile recipe.

I took some ideas from this recipe but didn't follow it exactly. I added the honey as suggested in the comments cutting back on the soy sauce, I also used a homemade tomato base instead of ketchup, added a bit of water and thickened the sauce with some corn syrup. I used pork rib chops and it was moist and detaching from the bone by the time it was done cooking, I really don't know where some of the reviewers went wrong to make such a moist recipe dry.

Awful, sorry but true. So dry, I sliced them after cooking to drown each piece in sauce for some flavor. And the sauce isn't great either.

Good! I followed the recipe to a T. The sauce was great, the meat was a bit dry inside after my 8 hours but dunking it back in the sauce for each bite was divine. Served with veggies and mashed potatoes, terrific dinner!

I used pork shoulder as opposed to chops. As others have reviewed - I doubled the recipe but kept the soy the same amount. I didn't use any salt and layered the bottom of the crockpot with onions. I kept the crock on high for 3.5 hours, continually flipped the pork over and basted it with the juices. For the last 1/2 hour it was on low. I served this over brown rice. This recipe is a keeper for my house.
