This was good but I agree with others who said it's surprisingly bland. Needs some hot sauce, or something. The potatoes need some perking up.

Don't enjoy all tweakers but here I am being one- maybe it will help! Seasoned the pork chops with lemon pepper, onion and garlic powder. While they were browning I mixed the hash browns, mushroom soup, sour cream, cheese and onions.Tossed in a small can of green beans and then found I had no milk (no kids at our house). Removed the chops from the pan and exchanged them for the potato mixture-burner off! Rinsed out my bowl with about a half cup water and mixed it into the potatoes. Added a few more onions to the top, capped it all with the pork chops and baked for 45 minutes. Picky husband liked it and do did I-especially since it could be prepared at my leisure and baked when we decided to eat.

Delicious, a really unique way to cook pork chops. The cheese and celery soup give the potatoes a nice flavor, in the future I will probably add some pepper to round it out. The chops were nice and tender under the cheese, those too I will season for our tastes in the future. I did use 2 cups cheese total but that was with reduced fat cheese, if you use full-fat I bet the 1c as written would be fine. Thanks so much for sharing.

I made this last night and we all really enjoyed it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the potato mixture had too much liquid in it. Next time I will omit the milk. The only thing I changed was using McCormick's Applewood Rub on the chops. I also used more onions and cheese because 1/2 cup of each wasn't enough to cover the 9x13" dish. I will definitely make it again.

The potato combination was fabulous, but the pork chops were a bit bland. I would suggest seasoning the chops in addition to what is called for in this recipe and you'll have a fabulous meal. Thank you.

Being from Canada I don't know what O'Brien potatoes are so I just used regular cubed hash browns. I too seasoned the meat with seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder before searing in the oil. I felt the cooking time was too long for the boneless chops so I cooked the hashbrowns for 20 min. covered and then added my chops with the liquid that had formed in the dish they were resting in, covered again and finished as the recipe stated. Will make this again but will cut the cooking time for the chops to 15 mins. we like our chops medium, I think allot of people are scared to have any pink in their pork and that just doesn't hold true anymore.

The boyfriend made these all by himself and it was delicious! I didn't get to have it on the day he made it, but as leftovers, it was to die for!
