Preparation time's kept to a minimum for Rosemarie Survillo's seeded treat. 'It's a bread that you can make a day ahead of time, and then warm in the microwave moments prior to serving for just-baked appeal,' she hints from her home in Lake St. Louis, Missouri.

Tart berries, crunchy nuts and sweet chocolate are simply scrumptious when mixed together in this easy quick bread. Sometimes I'll top it off with an orange-flavored glaze.

Cranberry Bread is a natural coming from Oregon, a state famous for its cranberries. And each fall my husband and I go out and scrounge around picking up the walnuts for this delicious bread. A lady was presenting this bread at a food fair when I had the 'nerve' to ask her for the recipe. She obliged, and it's been a steady item in our menu ever since. But not just at Thanksgiving--heavens, no! I freeze the berries and have a ready supply all year long.

I created this recipe 14 years ago by combing a couple of recipes from my collection. A friends suggested I add even more cranberries. Now there's a big burst of tart cranberry and lots of crunchy nuts in every piece. --Dawn Lowenstein, Hatboro, Pennsylvania

During the holidays, I make several pans of this sweet cake-like corn bread for family and friends. Whole blueberries--coated in flour--can be used in place of the cranberries.

Each Christmas, I make plates of goodies for the neighbors. I try to include a few items that aren't as sweet as traditional cookies and candies-- these mini loaves really fit the bill!

This bread teams lemon with a scattering of poppy seeds. A lemon-orange glaze provides a nice finish to this tasty loaf.
