I didnt like this at all. I felt cooking the brown sugar to a soft crack stage gave it a slightly burnt taste. I think it would be better to have it cooked to soft ball stage would have been better

I loved this recipe and so did my family. Just like what my Mom used to make and the vanilla really make it good. I used Pure Vanilla cutting back to 3/4 teaspoon and I had light corn syrup on hand that worked fine. Thank you Edna for posting this.

Came out great! I would have maybe preferred it a little chewier, but I'll just take the caramel off a little earlier next time.

Well maybe I did something wrong but my syrup melted my popcorn. But it smelled wonderful and I"m sure it would've been good. I had better luck using carmels candies and melting in microwave for popcorn balls.

This recipe is amazing. I just have a tip, I read a review and they said that they had gotten the syrup under their nails, so I decided to wear gloves. Worked really well, my hands didn't get all sticky and the balls turned out perfect. I am so going to make these again!

So much fun, we made these one year to go in Christmas stockings and they turned out great! Don't forget to take the unpopped kernels out before mixing.
