First time trying this recipe. the sauce turned out great (very authentic). I tweaked it slightly. - I used diced tomatoes instead of stewed. i let them cook until the water dissolved to stew the tomatoes. When I added the paste, I gradually added water and spices to flavor. The polenta was good but a little thin. Over all was good, but would modify before I make it again.

Polenta is supposed to be somewhat "bland" or actually neutral to take the place of rice, noodles or potatoes. This was made just as it is supposed to be. If you are using good and fresh cornmeal, the flavor of the cornmeal comes through. This recipe is a great way to dress it up. I had not made this before. I often make this with fried onions, my hubby's favorite. I love this new idea and will make it again.

My husband and I did not care for this recipe. The Polenta tasted like cardboard. The sausage part was good though. Just a very awkward dish. Won't make this again.

First of all, let me say avoid biting into it immediately after cooking and if you have a small apartment, open all windows and unplug smoke detectors. This was a delicious recipe! The tomato/sausage mixture was a little too "tomato-y" for me so I thinned it out with more water, I also used shaved parmesan. Simply delicious!

This was pretty tasty. I think it needs onion and more garlic, though. Should definitely serve with crusty bread.

I made just the sauce from this recipe. I made my own ground turkey sausage (I just submitted the recipe to allrecipes) and used that in the sauce. I substituted Romano cheese for the Parmesan. I served the sauce over the Cheesy Polenta recipe. It was fantastic!

I took the advice of a previous person and used the pre-made Trader Joe's Polenta. The meal was good, but awkward in presentation and the polenta didn't seem to hold together very well.

The sauce/sausage combo was excellent but, I found the polenta a bit bland. However, this was the first time making polenta so I may have not made this correctly. After cooking the polenta, I layered everything lasanga-style and topped w/fresh mozzerella and baked in the oven for 30 minutes and 375. This masked the blandness of the polenta and tasted pretty good but I don't think that I would make this again.
