They look like granola bars but they were too sweet. Reduce the sugar!

Thanks so much for this recipe!!! It is awesome, and I love adding new things to it each time. This time I added chunky peanut butter.

my friend recommended these granola bars to me. ever since then i have had to make them every week for my husband. he likes these much better than the store bought kind. i made 2 changes-I use wheat flour instead of regular, and instead of raisins I use half a bag of peanut butter chips and half a bag of chocolate chips.

Very good! These were eaten up right away! I added dark chocolate chips to half of them, and people preferred them with the chips.

I've made these several times. I'm not sure I've made them the same way yet but they are always very good. I do some with chocolate to keep the DH happy and sometimes PB and sometimes fruit and sometimes nuts, whatever I'm in the mood for that day.

My first time making granola bars ever and this recipe turned out absolutely delicious! My little cousin wouldn't stop eating them and told his mom to get the recipe from me. A simple, fast and easy recipe. Thank you!

These are awesome! I make them all the time and they are gone in a matter of a day or so. My hubby takes these to work as a snack. Have fun creating new combinations. Quick, easy, healthy, and delicious!

This is pretty good. I replaced the oil with applesauce and accidentally put in a full cup instead of half so the texture is a little gummy...but I am going to have fun playing with this recipe until I get it just right for my family. And it was fun mixing it all up with my hands!

It stayed together, and not too costly. My kids loved them and I will make again. they were a little crumbly along the outside edge (will just add that part to yogurt)

Great recipe! I have made this several times now, each successfully! I would like to note that I get the best results when I bake these in a glass (Pyrex) pan. I have also varied the recipe by substituting the 1/2 c. honey with 1/2 c. peanut butter and adding chocolate chips. The mixture will seem dry and you will have to mix it with your hands until it's all uniform, but once you bake it, it will turn out beautifully! I have also made the basic recipe with ground almonds and raisins.

These are great! I didn't have wheat germ so left it out. Next time I'll use that and maybe some dried cranberries. I added chocolate chips and sultanas. Didn't care for the chocolate in these. I'll cut down on brown sugar as I thought they were pretty sweet. Overall perfect and my son loved them!

I liked it and my 2 year old did too. I added apple pieces, but my 5 yr old didn't like it. I also used wheat flour to try to make it a little more healthy. Maybe if I used the white flour he would have liked it more. These were soft and chewy. I like mine like this!

A shout out to Chef Joy for great advice: whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup applesauce and canola oil for a great consistency. I'd like to add butterscotch chips for that extra kick of sweetness that I look for in a snack. Also, just a tip: measure the oil BEFORE the honey and the honey will slip right on outta the cup!

I made this recipe with a few changes and they are yummy! I substituted whole wheat flour for the white flour, did not add the salt, cut the sugar in half and added crushed up almonds. Very good and healthy!

My entire family, even the picky ones, gobbled these down the same day I made them. And I followed the recipe to the T. I may reduce the sugar and try whole wheat next go-around, just to make them a little "healthier".
